Lydia had gone in the forest to try and help the sheriff with finding the body of the case he was given the first day working, only when she was half way through a spell she got attacked by a wolf, she doesn't know how she was found since she had a cloaking spell in, but luckily she got away before the wolf saw her, only when she got back to Stiles house she noticed the necklace she got from her grandmother was missing and this made her panick, it was a family airloom and was passed onto the girls in the witches family that also had the ability of casting magic, not all that where born had magic abilities and it seemed to of skipped her grandmothers children and Lydia was the first and only daughter born since her grandmother with the ability to cast spells

Stiles house was pack den if thats what you want to call it, Scott lived with his mother and Lydia with both her parents, Danny well Danny hopped house to house he had his own small apartment but he mainly stayes with Lydia or Scott and Stiles stayed with his dad who had just became Sheriff of this town which made the pack leave, the packs familes knew they where werewolves and all decided it was best for them to stick together since they where so small

Lydia was pacing around Stiles house, stressed and frustrated, She was biting her lip and cursing, they knew there was another pack here and had Lydia hide their scent with a masking spell that is working but if Lydia continues to be stressed and worried her spell will begin to faulter

"Lydia calm down, me and scott will go and search for your necklace alright" Stiles said calmly

She shook her head and stared at Stiles "but the other...."

"we will be fine" Scott said then added "we won't let any harm come to either of us, we promise we will find your necklace and get back here before the day is up"

Stiles looked at Danny "keep her calm and safe we will be back soo" he patted Scotts shoulder grabbing the keys to his jeep and headed out with Scott to the preserve

Stiles pulled up outside of the preserve and they both walked into the forest searching around on the ground, "Stiles it could be anywhere"

The boy just shrugged "Well Scott I never said it would be easy to find but it will be here somewhere"

Scott let out a huff "Seriously she's so careless, how can she...."

he was cut off by another voice "This is private property"

Both boys stood and their heads snapped towards the sound, how did they not hear him "yeah we where just looking for.... something.... it's fine we're leaving" Scott stuttered out staring at the larger male

the man through a necklace to them a scowl fixated on his face as he stood trying to figure the two before him, something was telling him they weren't human but they smelt like human, Scott catched the necklace and looked at Stiles then back to Derek, they where both just staring at each other, Stiles mouth slightly ajar.

Derek turned and walked away from the pair tearing his eyes from the other males "Oh my god, Scott do you know who that is"

Scott shook his head and started walking back "Dude, that was Derek Hale, if he's the Alpha of the pack around here we are.... Shit dude"

Scott looked at him "Derek Hale?" he questioned completely confused

"Are you that stupid Scott?" Stiles let out a sigh "I'll explain once we get back and give Lydia her necklace before she goes all crazy lady on us"

Scott chuckled as they made their way back to the parked up jeep, the two somewhat playfully pushed and shoved each other as they walked

Climbed into the jeep and drove off back to the Stalinski house, they pulled up and there was shouting, Lydia was shouting at Danny and Danny was shouting back at how she needed to calm down "They been gone all day Danny what if they got attacked, what if they don't find my necklace, what if?" she screamed at him

Stiles and Scott shoom their head and walked up to the house, the door swung open as Stiles went to unlock the door and Danny let out the largest sigh ever "Oh thank god you are back please tell me you founf the stupid thing"

Scott held the necklace up with a proud smile and Lydia ran over grabbing it from his hands "thank you thank you thank you" she chanted and hugged Scott tightly

they all got inside and they sat down "Stiles who's Derek hale?" Scott asked and both Danny and Lydia looked at him like he was some brainless squid out of water

"He's only one of the most well known Alpha's Scott are you stupid" Lydia spat out and Stiles laughed sitting down "why do you ask?" she said a little more calm now

Stiles scratched his head "well he was the one who gave us your necklace, we didn't even hear him come up to us, Lydia that guy is seriously scary"

Scott scoffed "dude you where totally undressing him with your mind"

Stiles gave an innocent looking grin "he is hot, but the point here is he might be the Alpha of the pack around here, which would be bad news for us"

"why would that be bad" Scott asked, his head tilted in the way a confused puppy would look

"he has a pack of werewolves Scott, and apparently one of the strongest packs, he's Talia hale's son and we all know how freat a wolf she was" Stiles explained and Scott mouth opened in a 'O' as if realization just hit him

"they say death changes a person Scott, his whole family where killed by hunters and he doesn't trust anyone, which would make it hard for us" Danny added quietly

Scott put his head in his hands and grumbled "great just great we are done for when Derek finds out"

Lydia grinned "no we won't be because he won't find out because I will make sure we are undetected"

Stiles had a proud smile aimed towards Lydia and Danny had to go and ruin Scotts calming down as he said "Yeah but if Derek is as smart or no less then the Alpha that he has been described as making our scent won't be enough, which means these two idiots have already been caught"

Stiles gave Danny a tight closed lip smile "oh thanks for that Danny, that was great just what we needed to hear" he said sarcastically, he was having enough trouble keeping himself calm without a worried Scott to and Danny just made that a lot worse

Lydia glared at Danny crossing her arms over her chest "Idiot" she hissed out at him "lets not worry about Derek, besides if he figured you guys out then he wouldn't have let you leave the forest earlier so he probably hasn't found you guys out"

Lydia was a strong witch but even she could make mistakes and starting school tomorrow just made her even more nervous and was just hoping her spell and magic would work, she decided to make them all bracelets with a masking ability this way the spell worked for the one who wore the bracelet rather then her holding up the barrier throught the day and wearing her magic down and weakening herself before she headed to bed herself
