Derek groaned as he got in the car with Stiles he knew he'd have to take the twins eventually since they where techniqually his Beta's he was just hoping it was after they had graduated from school, the car was silent for a while "you didn't tell her?" Stiles said eventually, breaking the silence

Derek glanced at Stiles "neither did you, I love my mum Stiles but I can't always trust what she says and I don't want harm coming to you, at least let me train you before anyone finds out you are who my mum is looking for"

Stiles smiles at Derek "thank you" Derek parks up outside Stiles house "I trust her kinda, my mum told her my real name, mum said I can trust those she told my real name to but never to tell others what it is, it's not even registered as that at school just to make sure I can't be found easily" Stiles sighed "only my pack, Lydia's mum and my dad know my name, mum told me she told four more her best friend who she would introduce me to when I'm 18, some healer guy that helps with the super natural and her best friends son but she said he wouldn't know until I turned 18 the last was a hunter he could be trusted to protect me but not the rest of his family" Stiles frowned trying to fix it all together "it's confusing at times I only ever saw my mum once maybe twice a year until my eyes turned red so I don't always remember what she tells me but she always told me those things whenever she saw me and last time I was really bored of having to repeat it but I did, I could see the fear in her eyes every time she said them to me"

Derek sat listening to Stiles, when Stiles went silent Derek got out of the car he walked around to Stiles and pulled him up into a hug "I'll keep you safe Stiles" Derek whispered as Stiles buried his face into his neck, Derek wrapped his arms tighter around Stiles as he started crying, he looked over at the door as Noah walked out with a worried look on his face "let's get you inside" Derek said leading Stiles to the door

Noah let them pass still full of worry "is everything alright?"

Derek nodded settling Stiles on the couch "my mum isn't looking for Claudia, she's looking for Stiles" A flash of panic crossed Noah's face "she doesn't know it's Stiles" he added quickly seeing the Sheriff's panick rise "I didn't expect her to mention Claudia's...." he trailed of looking away from Noah

"I'm fine" Stiles said wiping his eye's "I, she knows my name dad" Stiles said looking up at Noah "mum said I could trust her but I didn't tell her, I want to keep mum's promise and wait till I'm 18"

Noah nodded and looked at Derek as if he would tell her "I won't tell her" he said with a frown "it's Stiles choice for when he's ready, I do have one question though Noah, do you know why my mum is looking for Stiles why she fears so much for our safety"

Noah nodded and sighed rubbing his head "I do, but just the same as everyone else who is in the line of protecting you we are sworn to secrecy until you both turn 18, I have work I'm late but I wanted to wait until you returned, I knew who you where when Talia showed up at the station to talk to me, be careful and don't forget to eat" Noah gave them a smile before walking out the house

Derek looked at Stiles who was looking back at him "my mum was right on one thing she said to me when she told me who she was looking for" Stiles gave him a confused look "she said the person she's looking for will be someone very important to me" Derek stroked Stiles cheek and stood up

Derek went to retrieve his hand but stopped as Stiles grabbed his wrist to stop him "Derek" Stiles bit his lip "why did you kiss my cheek" Stiles asked the nervousness deep in his voice

Derek tensed slightly letting out a sigh "I don't know, it just happened but it kinda felt right to do I just don't know why I did it, Sorry if... You know"

Stiles shook his head "don't apologise" Stiles said pulling Derek into the seat beside him "it wasn't a big deal just wondering why" Derek nodded before moving his arm around Stiles and pulling him into a hug, Stiles wrapping his arms around Derek "thank you" Stiles mumbled

Derek hummed and leaned back into the couch Stiles resting against him, they remained like that for a few hours until the front door swung open breaking the two apart to look who it was, Scott stood there with a dark glare, arms folded almost as if he was ready to kill aimed towards Derek "you bastard" Scott practically yelled as he walked over to Derek and punched him "don't fucking touch Stiles"

"What the hell Scott" Stiles flailed out of the seat and pushed himself between Scott and Derek who growled at the Beta "why are you punching him for!"

Scott pointed at Derek not takig his eyes off him "why are you letting him kiss you!"

Stiles looked at Derek "he told my pack to" Derek was rubbing his jaw and shrugged at the question, Stiles shakes his head and looks at Scott "he only kissed my cheek" Stiles said as Danny and Lydia stumbled into the house

"Oh to late" Lydia said looking between the 2 Alpha's and Beta, Danny nodding in agreement

Stiles rolled his eyes and stared at Scott who flicked his eyes from Derek to Stiles "this time maybe only the cheek but what about next time huh, we all know his mum is looking for you mum Stiles, he could be working with her, what if he hurts you or tries to kill you we don't know how to fight Stiles, he could be leading you on just to get to you and then it would be to late, he comes out of no where and start trusting the guy"

"That's enough" Derek and Stiles say at the same time flashing their eyes at Scott making both Beta's and Lydia flinch away "the feeling is mutual Scott, I don't trust anyone, when I was teenager someone tried killing my whole entire family because I trusted them yet Stiles comes along and I don't get it either but even if my mum was the threat I'd protect him from her, I'd never lead him on I'm not like that, it's because of me my uncle turned into a psycho and thats the main reason I couldn't face him" Derek ran his hands through his hair with a sigh

Stiles turned and rested his hand on Derek's shoulder squeezing it before wrapping his arms around Derek's neck pulling him into a hug, Derek let out a shaky breath burying his face into Stiles neck "it's ok big guy" Stiles said patting his back comfortingly before glaring at Scott who hung his head in shame, Stiles mouth a get him out of here to Danny and Lydia and they nodded grabbing Scott and dragging him out of the house "want to watch a movie?"

Derek nodded, he didn't cry this time he lifted his head up tilting it back as he let out a breath "I shouldn't but let's" he looked to Stiles "after we got some food your dad said not to forget" Stiles grins and nodded "what do you like to order, either that or we can try and cook something"
