Chapter 27.

Betty's POV

I sat there looking at Jughead as his expression changed, I then looked at Archie and got up, "Hey Archie, what are you doing here?"

"Well I was suppose to meet you here but I guess you are occupied with this gentleman I see." Archie said while pointing at Jughead, I could hear Jughead chuckle and my attention turns to him.

"You know what?" Jughead said slowly getting up.

I swallowed the lump in my throat knowing what he was about to say wasn't something nice.

"You both should catch up and eat dinner while I just go back home."I was shocked, what the hell is this?

This made me nervous, he is leaving me with Archie and telling me to catch up with him?

This is not Jughead.

Wait....

Archie said that I wanted to meet him, I never said something like that, we haven't been taking a lot lately.

This is weird, like super weird.

Jughead was about to leave but then I grabbed his arm and said, "Where are you going Jughead?"

"For gods sake Betty!"Jughead raised his voice and pulled his arm.

I could feel my vision getting blurry from the tears as they filled up my eyes.

He just chuckled and says, "You think I don't know that you met up with Justin at your office?, and now suddenly this red head is here?!"

What is he talking about?

"What are you talking about-"I was about to finish my sentence but Jughead cut me off, "I saw him leave your office with an unbuttoned shirt and loose tie while his hair was messy!, and now you decide to invite your old date to our date?!,-"

"I never knew you would do this Elizabeth."

He never says my full name and that scared me a lot.

"What the hell Jughead!, are you assuming that I kissed Justin behind your back!"I yelled at him, the whole restaurant was looking at us and gossiping.

"Yes, I think you did kiss him." He said as he softens his voice, the thought of him assuming that I was cheating on him broke my heart, because I would never, and I mean never ever break someone's heart when mine was broken the same way.

I just stand there and say, "I never kissed him Jughead, I don't know why you won't believe me, but -"before I could finish my sentence, Archie got in front of me and said to Jughead looking into his eyes.

"Mate maybe you should go, you're making this awkward and hurting Betty." Jughead looked at me and and said, "Do you want me to leave?"

I stood there not answering his question.

He could see that a few tears have rolled down my cheek and said, "I am sorry Betty I didn't mean to make you cry."

I looked at him and said, "Answer me Jughead why don't you believe me?"

He took a deep breath and said, "It's not that I don't trust you Betty, it's just I had my heart broken and I don't want to be heartbroken again."

I couldn't hold it anymore and said, "And you think that's an excuse?!, I had my heart broken too if you don't remember, and for you basically implying that I might break you heart like your crazy ex did, that breaks my heart, because I could never do that!"A few tears rolled down my cheek and I quickly wiped them off.
