Chapter 28.

Betty' POV

I was shocked, what the hell is happeing. Why is Cheryl in my apartment?, and why the hell is Jughead and Veronica arguing?

I took a deep breath and said, "Cheryl what the hell are you doing here?" She walked towards me and said, "Well I'll get you out of this mess." After she said that she turned her attention towards Jughead and sighed.

"I didn't know you would start dating a criminal Betty." Cheryl said and sat on the couch.

I took another deep breath and turned my attention to Veronica and said, "Why did you send Archie a message to meet me at the restaurant where surprisingly Jughead and I were having a date?"

She looked away and then sighed, "Cheryl told me all about Jughead Betty, he's bad news." I then chuckled at her response and said, "Wow you were the one who was basically telling me to date him."

Cheryl then stood up and said, "I told her all about Jughead, about how he assaulted a poor girl, and sold drugs but got away with it."I then walked towards Cheryl and said, "How about you leave Cheryl I don't want to hear these accusations."

She then laughed and said while walking towards Jughead, "Listen to yourself Betty, you are dating a jealous sad boy, who's a criminal and who's a bad influence, this isn't you."

I was going to explode, she doesn't know his part of the story and she's accusing him?!

I understand that she cares and wants what's best for me but she can't do this.

I love Jughead-

Wait what?!

I-I love him....

I then smiled at Jughead and he smiled back, I then looked at both Cheryl and Veronica who were now standing next to each other and said, "How about you both leave us alone."

"But Betty-" Said Veronica but I cut her off, "I am serious Veronica get out."

Cheryl was mad about whats happening, she basically stared at me with laser eyes.

She then smirked at me and I knew she was about to do something.

"You see Betty, I don't like you dating this criminal, so I called your parents and told them all about him, and let me tell you, they don't want you to date him."

I laughed, is she serious right now?

I don't care what my parents say, I know what I want, and I want Jughead.

I walked towards Jughead and said, "I don't care Cheryl."

She was mad, "How can't you see this Betty?! He assaulted a woman out of jealousy, he is a maniac, how do you know he's not going to assault you?!"

How can she say that, I knew Jughead would never do that, the whole time we were together he was sweet, well yes, he was an asshole sometimes and a jerk, but all along he never once hit me.

I took Jughead's hand and looked straight into his eyes and said, "I love him Cheryl."

I could see that as soon as I said those words. Jughead's eyes lit up, his eyes were shining.

It was so beautiful, he looked into my eyes and said, "I love you too."

Cheryl then rolled her eyes and stormed off the apartment and then Veronica stood up and said, "I am sorry for ruing your date, I didn't want to, I just wanted to protect Betty, you are after all my best friend." I looked at her and said, "We'll discuss this later, okay?"

She nodded her head and left the apartment, and it was now only me and Jughead alone.

He placed his hands on my waist and leaned towards my lips and then as soon as his lips touched mine, I was over the moon.

I love Jughead.

And I don't want to lose him.

Because he has become the air to my lungs, I wanted to be next to him all the time, because every time I leave him, I feel like I am falling apart.

He kissed me softly and gently, making me feel safe, like I was home, he pulled me closer and then I could feel his lips form into a smile.

"Thank you Elizabeth, I love you." The way he said those words warmed my heart, he really cared for me, deeply.

"Jughead you know I will always believe you."He then nodded his head and placed his chin on my head, "I am sorry I was such an ass today, I promise to make it up for you."

I then hugged him tightly and listened to his heartbeat, he is my home.

And I will always come back to him.

And we just stood there hugging each other and not letting go.

This is so short, but hey at least I published something in less than 3 months like I usually do.

And this time I didn't make a cliffhanger.
