Chapter 6: Decisions

Kregez watched as Sky slept on the floor the moonlight perfectly lighting up her hair and her pale ivory skin, she looked breathtakingly beautiful, and he couldn't stand seeing her sleep on the floor, he picked her up off of the floor and laid her on the bed she seemed to fit perfectly in his arms, after he laid her on the bed he tried to stand only to have her arms tighten around his neck. He looked down at her, his face inches away from her's, it took all the control he had not to connect their lips and taste the sweetness of them. He gently unwrapped her arms from around his neck then stood to watch her for a few more moments he couldn't explain it but he felt connected to her, suddenly her face started to glow as did his, it was a warm tingling feeling, making him wonder what was going on.

As soon as it came it disappeared, and an intricate marking appeared on her face just below her left eye, he rushed to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and saw the same mark on his face, he couldn't believe it his mate was a human, he didn't know what to do with that knowledge, but he knew one thing for certain, if this is not a  dream and she is his mate, the man that hired her can never get his hands on her and use her against him. 

he walked back to his chambers and laid down in his bed, self consciously he touched the mark on his face it felt warm to the touch, a comfortable warm, he closed his eyes and went to sleep. an hour later he felt something move beside him, he opened his eyes surprised to see Sky sleeping next to him he stiffened then scooted to the edge of his bed and fell asleep.

hours later a banging could be heard at his door, he sat up and answered the door seeing one of his guards, looking panicked. 

"your majesty,t-the girl...." 

he raised his hand to silence the guard then requested the captain of the guard, the captain came and they talked 

 "We have to keep the girl from the man who hired her "

" But sire shes.....* 

the captain of the guard notices the mark on his majesty's face just below his left eye, he then walked over to the sleeping sky noticing the same mark on her face in the same place, the captain looked at the prince in shock 

"A-A human s-sire? y-your mate is a human ?! h-how ..." the captain paced in a panic until Kregez put his hands on his friend's shoulders, making him stop in his tracks. 

" my dear friend it's alright, but for right now she has a decision to make either she fixes what the messed up or...." he looked away from her with a heavy heart " ill be forced to mark her a traitor and banish her to the isle of the forgotten" 

with that, he turned and escorted his friend out, and closed the door to watch his mate sleep peacefully.
