Leonora Azola
The girl Viveca was guided by Avery and Corrine. I'm not so sure I trust her yet. Something about her just doesn't add up.
As they passed by me, I caught a glimpse of her eerie eyes. Pale blue, almost grey in color, and showing pure terror in them. She's scared. She should be. Ilmiris doesn't just let anybody in. You have to earn her trust.
I remember when I first came here. Ilmiris was on the brink of killing me because of pushing me too hard, that was until I proved my worth to her as well as gained her trust.
This girl, whoever or whatever she is, has absoulutely no chance in befriending Ilmiris. I can tell from the look of fear in her eyes.
"I was just being nice."
"I don't care what you were doing! It's my job to decide whether or not someone gets to join, not yours!" Ilmiris. I know that voice anywhere. And right now, that voice showed complete anger. I've known her long enough to know that she doesn't like it when someone tries to do her job for her.
With my back turned away from that Viveca girl, I directed my attention toward Ilmiris. She towered over Xavior like he was a dwarf. He seemed unclear of what to do next. Shocking. When is he ever certain about something? Never.
"I was just welcoming her to the group." He took a few steps back from her. Ilmiris continued to belittle him. It seemed like it was working. The only person Xavior is afraid of is an angry Ilmiris. "Fine, I'm sorry. I'm ready to accept whatever punishment you have for me." He gives up so easily.
It's times like this when I ask myself, "Why is he the leader of the clan?" Xavior is a coward and has a weakness when it comes to pretty girls. Which makes it easy for any female to manipulate him.
Personally, I don't think he has what it takes to lead us, but he fights like a pro. Maybe that's why she chose him to lead our clan.
Our clan consists of me, Avery, Nick, Xavior (obviously), and hopefully not the new girl.
"You want me to punish you?" Her voice showed anger, whereas her face showed confusion. Gracefully, Ilmiris placed both of her hands on Xavior's shoulders. His face scrunched as she tightened her grip. In a violent fashion, she turned his body around so he was no longer facing her. Instead he was facing--no.
"Here's your punishment. She will join you and your clan. You are in charge of her." Her lips formed a satisfying smirk, as mine formed a hateful frown. "Have fun training a dragon girl, Xavior." She released him, turned, and walked away.
The last thing I wanted was that Viveca girl in our clan. I'd take a vampire over her any day!
The anger surged inside of me so much that it felt as if I would explode. My cheeks were red hot and my fists were itching to smash something to pieces. I have never felt so mad in my life!
"Hey, Leo!" Not in the mood, Nick. "Want to get some breakfast?" I whirled around and sent my fist straight into his jaw. "Son of bitch! What was that for?" He struggled to stay up as the hit almost knocked him off his feet.
I couldn't stop myself. With quick movements, I sent my foot into his "sensitive spot" and kneed him hard in the chest. "Stop!" His voice was screechy from the pain. As much as I wanted to stop I couldn't.
Before he could regain his balence, I junped on top of him, grabbing a hold of his wrists to keep him from moving. My weight kept him flat on the ground as I sent multiple punches into his face. "Stop! Stop it!" Begging won't get you amywhere. "ENOUGH!" It was as if an invisible force pushed me off of his body. My hands were burnt to a crisp from where I held him down. I glanced up to see his fiery body limping towards me. His skin, hair, and even eyes were engulfed with flames. "I asked you to stop! Now you've made me mad!" As quick as my body could react, I rolled out of the way of the searing hot flames heading towards me.
I jumped to my feet and began racing into the forest.
My bones began to grow rapidly as the antagonizing pain ran throughout my limbs. I found myself on all fours, screaming in pain. The transformation continued to progress as my jaw protruded and my teeth sharpened until they became as sharp as daggers.
The pain lasted until the transformation was complete. I dragged my sharp claws through the dirt and slowly turned around to see Nick in fire form standing before me. My eyes finally adjusted so I could see clearly.
"Let's end this!" I let out a terrifying roar in response. He charged at me, shooting flames in the process. I did my best to dodge the attacks, although some of them grazed my thick fur or hit me in the paws.
He's more flexible than I am, but I have an advantage. My new strength. I waited for him to finish his attack before I decked him flat on the ground sending drool onto his face and shattering his eardrums with a powerfuk roar. I raised my large paws up above my head. I'm the one who's going to end it. My paw came down.
I let out a cry of pain as a large branch whacked me over the head. I looked over to see Avery guiding the wooden branch with her witch powers. She doesn't look happy.
While I was distracted, Nick jabbed me in the gut, forcing me to release my hold on him. He ignited once more and came running at me. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks.
Avery stood in between me and him. She had her hands held out toward us and gave us a deatg stare. "Behave yourselves! For Cortessa's sake, you're adults! Start acting like it!" Avery acts as the mother of the clan when it comes to certain situations...much like this one.
Her actions caused my body to relax once more, which made me return my natural human form. The transformation back is far less painful. The thick fur fell off my skin, my bones shrank back to their normal position and my muscles decreased making me slim once more. I watched as my long light brown hair fell, once again, in front of my face.
Nick's fire form was blown away by the wind from Avery. His bright red hair returned to its natural state as he stared at me with a look that showed both confusion and anger.
"Why do you two always solve your problems with fighting? Violence is not the answer." Avery said as she slowly lowered her arms.
"If violence isn't the answer, then why are we fighting a war against the humans?" I stifled a laugh from the look on Nick's face after he responded. Avery glared at him.
"Nevermind that. Just stop fighting each other!" She tucked her auburn hair behind her ears before speaking to us again. "C'mon. Xavior wants us to spend time with the new girl." Perfect. First I get in a fight with Nick over my anger and now I'm being forced to spend time with that Viveca girl.
If she messes with me, I will make her life a living hell.
