Rocky Meets The Family

Prompt: pt.2 of Surprise

"We don't have much time. The Ghosts will be-what is that?" Oliver asks, his focus shifting from the mission to Thea and Laurel running into the cave, already dressed and geared up but with an extra surprise with them.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce to the newest member of The Queen/Lance family. Rocky, everyone. Everyone, Rocky." Thea smiles as she introduces the husky and german shepherd mix dog to the team.

"We couldn't find a sitter." Laurel apologizes as she and Thea, as well as Rocky, join the team huddle.

"We couldn't leave this cutie by herself. She's strong, but she's also fragile." Thea pouts as she pets Rocky who sits quietly by Thea's side.

"Awww, who could say no this beauty." John says in awe as he kneels down and begins petting the dog.

"It's a puppy!" Felicity exclaims as she turns away from the monitors and runs to pet Rocky.

"Hi, I'm sorry. Should I call and tell Damian Darhk and the Ghosts will have to reschedule because we're busy petting an animal? Let's move, people!" Oliver huffs, waving toward the exit for emphasis.

"Sorry, Rocky." John whispers, petting her once more before getting up and leaving.

"Meany." Thea pouts as she walks off, sticking her tongue out to Oliver childishly.

"She already ate and used the bathroom. Rocky is an easy dog, promise." Laurel reassures Felicity as she hands her Rocky's leash.

"Don't worry, I'm sure and this princess will get along perfectly." Felicity coos, kneeling down and scratching the dog behind her ears.

"Felicity." Oliver warns, clearing his throat.

"Right. Mission. Come on, girl." Felicity says, walking to the monitors with Rocky by her side.

Rocky perks up as she hears Team Arrow entering the cave. While Rocky was happy and excited, Team Arrow was less than thrill. Another lost from Darhk and his team.

"Hey, guys." Felicity greets softly, turning around her chair to face the team.

Rocky jumps down and goes to greet her owners.

"Hey, girl." Thea whispers, kneeling down and petting Rocky.

"We missed you too, Rocky." Laurel whispers, kneeling down next to her girlfriend and petting Rocky as well.

Rocky looks past the couple to see Oliver, who was shrugging of his gear sadly. Rocky pulls away and takes off toward Oliver. She carefully nudges his hand with her head until his hand was resting on top of her head. Oliver looks down and for the first since the end of the mission, cracked a smile.

"You must be Rocky." Oliver sighs with a soft smile, kneeling down to look at the dog.

"Such a softie." Thea teases.
