Prompt: A prequel of sorts to "We Won". Of course, taken directly from Endgame.

"We got lucky you know. 5 years ago." Laurel says softly as she seats herself in Thea's lap where she's lounging in the rocking chair in the girls' room, watching their twin 3-year-olds as they sleep.

"I know." Thea sighs, her eyes not moving away from the pair.

"A lot of people didn't, Speedy." Laurel adds as she massages the back of her wife's neck.

"Nope. I can't help everyone." Thea dismisses, looking at her wife.

"We sort of can, love." Laurel smiles sadly.

"Not if we stop while we're ahead of ourselves, Laurel. We could just not answer, you know? Let the phone ring. Just stay here, in this moment. We could walk away from the fight before it even starts." Thea reasons.

"Thea. In my lifetime of knowing you, of loving you, you've never walked away from a fight. In fact, I think you've just about ran towards every fight." Laurel laughs softly.

"And how many times have a gotten my ass handed to me because of it? You're right, Laurel. 5 years ago, we got lucky. We saw how much we had to lose and we saw how much we still had to gain. Now look at us. We finally have the future we spent so many years promising to have. I can't give that up, Laurel." Thea reasons.

"And we won't." Laurel promises, holding Thea's face between her hands.

"I just want us to disappear you know? Take you and the girls, drop off the grid. Never look back." Thea sighs, holding on to Laurel's wrist.

"But, would you be able to rest, Thea?" Laurel whispers.

"Thea? Laurel?" Oliver gasp as he watches the couple walk toward him, hand in hand donned in their Speedy and Black Canary gear.

"We've got a shot of writing our wrongs from 5 years ago. You and I both know I wasn't gonna be able to walk away from that. But my priorities are different from what they were then. Bring back everything we lost? I hope. Keep what I have, my wife and kids? I have to, at all cost." Thea says as she looks at her wife.

"Whatever it takes." Laurel says, looking at Thea.
