It was the next day and Ethan was picking me up at 2pm to take me to the hospital to see Grayson for the first time.
I had showered and gotten ready and it was around 1 when I got a call from Grayson. Hesitantly I answered.
Grayson: Cassie? Baby? Me: hi Grayson... Grayson: oh my gosh you have no idea how great it is to hear your voice, to hear you say my na- Me: don't do that. Grayson: what? Me: say that when your the one who risked never seeing me again. Grayson: that's not what I meant. Me: I know. Now what do you want from me? Grayson: apparently your coming hear to see me. Me: yesterday I debated it but lucky for you I have an appointment for a scan today, you know to see if MY child is healthy. Grayson: you know that's my baby too. Me: don't push it dolan, I'll be there in about 3 hours. And I might come 'visit'. Grayson: I love you Cassie... Me: the fact you continue to lie like that- Grayson: I'm not lying.. Me: uh hu.
I ended the call And got the last of my things ready. After scrolling through instagram for a while it was time to leave for the hospital. Ethan picked me up and we drove listening to some quiet background music. E: are you doing ok? Me: Not really but I need to see him at some point. E: I guess so.. Nervous for the scan? Me: sorta, but I'm more excited to be honest.

We were sat in a waiting area when Graysons doctor left his room. He walked over to us.
Doctor: He's ready for visitors now, so your welcome to go in whenever. Me: thanks.
Ethan held my hand and walked me to the doorway. Giving me a reassuring smile then one last hug before I would see Grayson for the first time.
- I stepped inside and saw him, his head in his hands. He heard me come in and looked up at me. He sighed with relief. G: You came! Me: I figured I'd have to see you eventually. G: oh, right... I know Ethan told you what happened with alis- Me: wait. G: for what?
I walked next to the bed and slapped him across the face. He winced in pain as there was barely a place on his body that wasn't bruised already. I missed him so much, he treated me like shit and all I wanted to do in that moment was kiss him. I was so angry at myself for thinking about it but it was the only thing on my mind. I looked up at him again and put my hands around his neck and brought his face to mine, he cupped my face as I kissed him passionately. It was different, scary. I knew he felt it too. It felt like that mightve been our last kiss. I hugged him then pulled away angrily.
Me: I hate you.. Grayson: no you don't. Me: I know. but I should! I should hate you! Grayson: I know I'm so sorry. I did an awful thing! An awful stupid thing. Please can you forgive me?
Me: No. I can't... Your not who I thought you were Grayson.. Grayson: what do you mean! Me: I got to know you again as someone who I believed could never hurt me and was always there when I needed someone. What Happens now Grayson? You Hurt ME!! All I can do is just keep picturing you with her. MY BEST FRIEND! Alison ok. That's all I see when I think of us or you or even this baby. Grayson: I will never speak to her again I'll block her on everything I swear! Me: well I assumed that was a given! Grayson: your right I'm sorry. I am so so so sorry Cassie. I love you more than life itself and our baby is the only thing that I'm holding onto. If you leave I don't know what id do with myself. Me: don't say things like that Gray. Don't try and push this all on me like I'm the one who is supposed to know what to do right now. NO OK, This is your mess and your already trying to make me feel bad and clean it up. Grayson: no Cassie I'm not! I love you too much, so much it's killing me to see you this upset. Me: YOU KNEW THIS WOULD BREAK MY HEART! YOU PROMISED ME YOUD NEVER EVER HURT ME NO MATTER WHAT. well gray I feel like I'm dying right now and this can't be good for her.. so I'm going to leave. Grayson: Its a girl?! Me: I'm not sure but me and Ethan think she is. Grayson: our baby girl. Me: my baby girl Grayson. Grayson: don't say that. Shes my kid too. Me: I'm going now so goodbye. Grayson: I love you guys. Me: k.

I walked out of the room and Ethan was stood waiting for me impatiently. E: so? Me: so what? E: erm you know. what did you talk about? Me: he apologized said he loves me. Expected me to clean up the mess he made and expected a decision from me already on what I was going to do. E: and you said? Me: I yelled, i cried and told him how i felt and here I am. E: oh Cassie.
He pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead. E: you ready for your first scan? Me: yeah let's go.
He guided me to the room and we sat down opposite a doctor. Doctor: hi there! Are you Miss Garner? Me: yes. Doctor: and your Mr Dolan I assume? Ethan: ermmm yeah actually.
We both giggled and looked back at the doctor who looked confused.
Doctor: is everything ok? Me: yes Dr. Doctor: alrighty then, if you could lay back on this bed right here miss. And sir feel free to stand beside her.
We both got up and moved into place. The doctor lifted my shirt and smoothed on some gel. He then picked up the scanner and looked at me smiling.
Doctor: are you ready to meet your baby? Me: yes. Thank you.
He started looking for the baby and I couldn't see shit. Confused I looked up to Ethan. He smiled and waited, more patiently then me for a change. He then clicked a button which appeared like he was screen shotting the monitor.
The printer started making noises and I smiled anxiously.
Doctor: this is your baby. Your about 5 weeks ish. Me: oh my gosh! Ethan: I-

Doctor: here take this picture home to show your loved ones. Me: could we have one more printed as it would just make things easier. Doctor: of course.
He printed another one and on our way out of the hospital when passing Graysons room I flicked the picture onto his bed. I stood at the door waiting for a reaction. What I saw warmed my heart, he began tearing up and smiling at the image. I smiled and walked over to him.
Grayson: this is so real to me now.. Me: I know me too. We need to tell our parents soon. Grayson: they're sending me home tomorrow so You can come round in the evening for dinner and we can tell them together. Me: whatever, bye Grayson. Grayson: love you. Me: I love-...ugh..
