I threw the phone down and floored the gas, the speed picking up to 90. I turn the volume button up all the way, music blaring from the speakers.
I thought of angels, choking on their halos.
Get them drunk on rose water.
I focused on the road, growing longer by the minute.
See how dirty I can get them pulling out their fragile teeth, and clip their tiny wings.
I saw my mom standing over me with a knife, staring at me with blood lust. She dragged the blade across my skin, blood seeping out.
She was still staring at me as I screamed for her to stop, that it hurt. The skin molded back together leaving no trace that there was ever any damage to my skin except for a little white scar.
Once again she drug the edge across my skin, a little deeper this time.
"Mommy, stop! You're hurting me!" A little voice squeaked out.
She smiled in a deranged kind of way. The skin pulled back together a bit slower than the last time. She enjoyed watching me heal, the blood still around the non existing cut. A scar left in its place.
Anything you say can and will be held against you.
So only say my name and it will be held against you.
Anything you say can and will be held against you so only say my name.
I pressed my foot harder on the gas, the speed picking up to 120. The car speeding across the road, getting me closer to the farm by every second.
The sun getting lower and lower in the sky, almost touching the plain.
If heaven's greif, bring hell's rain.
Then I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday.
I see my Mom, my Dad, and I are all at the zoo.
My parents are holding hands while I run ahead.
"Look Daddy! Why is its neck so long?" I shout looking back at my Dad as I point to a Giraffe eating leaves out of a tree.
My parents laughed at me, looking at each other lovingly.
"Well when they reach and reach for the leaves their necks grow and grow." My dad said to me.
For just one yesterday.
The Illinois state line in my rearview mirror I head to the farm with one thing on my mind.
Senon will pay for all that he did.

I pull up into the driveway of the farmhouse. All of the lights are off, no sounds or signs of life.
The sun just now coming over the horizon, casting pink lines across the blue sky.
The car stops, and I clamber out. I walk to the trunk and grab an enchanted sword and dagger. Then I hear something drop from inside the barn.
I skulk over to the door, peering between the slats. My dad is tied to a chair, dried blood along his graying hair line. His dark blue eyes stand out in the darkness.
Taking a deep breath I rip open the door, expecting there to be guards near the doors. But no one appeared.
"Katie." My Dad croaked out.
"Daddy." I say running over to him. I haven't called him that since I was 9.
"You shouldn't have come." He said tears streaming down his face, as I try to undo the charmed chains that kept him bound.
