Alec opened his eyes, at the same moment a wave of pain invaded him, especially his back and ankle.
He blinked, confused, a few times, until his eyes got used to the darkness in the room and he saw the silhouettes of furniture all around the room.
There was a small table in front of him between the silhouettes of armchairs. Behind the armchairs he sighted a table with some chairs.
He noticed he didn't know where he was. How had he ended up there?
Alec began remembering what happened: the café, the Raum demons and the Shax one who had attacked him from behind, making him fall down to the floor and then... What happened after that?
Alec only remembered that before falling into unconsciousness, he had heard footsteps, an explosion and the sound of the demon disappearing. Someone had killed the Shax demon and probably that someone was the one who had brought him where he was now.
Now he knew the reason behind the pain in his back and ankle.
He noticed he had a blanket covering him and he couldn't help but thank the person who had covered him with the blanket, because he felt very cold.
Alec tried to get up, even if it was a little bit, to turn and lie on his back. The second he moved, however, the lights turned on and the Shadowhunter heard footsteps.
The blue-eyed boy closed his eyes for a second because of the sudden light that invaded the room. He turned and lay on his back fast, causing his back to start hurting a bit more, which made Alec groan in pain.
He finally opened his eyes and when they got used to the light, he saw he had a young man in front of him.
When he saw the man, he, instinctively, moved his hand to his waistband, where he was expecting to find his stele, seraph blades or whatever he had to attack the man in front of him. The only thing he found was the waistband of some sweatpants he had never put on.
Alec looked at the young man again, just to check out if he had a knife, a gun, or something that could hurt him.
The young man was Asian. He looked around 20 years old and taller than Alec, if that was even possible. He had chocolate brown eyes, who looked sweet and a small nose.
The Shadowhunter remembered he could be in danger, because of that mundane and tried to rise up a bit from the sofa, so he could sit down on it.
Alec groaned in pain and closed his eyes, when a wave of pain spread all over his back.
The stranger, who had been watching how Alec checked him out, took a step closer to him when he saw the Shadowhunter in pain.
Alec immediately moved, trying to get away from the stranger. He put his hands in front of him, as if he wanted to protect himself from that young man and closed his eyes.
"Where's my bow and quiver?" Alec asked, still with his eyes closed, never moving his hands, still in front of him.
The mundane, seeing Alec's reaction, walked a bit away from him.
"Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you." Said the brown-eyed boy, taking a few steps closer to the sofa, the moment the Shadowhunter lowered his hand a bit and opened an eye.
Alec still thought that man was going to kill or hurt him, so he covered his face with his arms and closed his eyes again.
"Get away from me!" He screamed.
The man decided not to get closer to Alec and returned where he had been standing, the first time.
"I said, where's my bow and quiver?" The blue-eyed boy repeated.
