Alec woke up and felt a sudden pain spread through his body. It seemed to be a pain coming from inside him, and he didn't know the reason why, of his sudden pain.

The first thing he noticed what that he was shirtless. How had he ended shirtless? He was breathing hard.

He opened his eyes and saw the sofa's pillow in front of him, and a body under him.

What was he doing shirtless lying on someone's body?!

The Shadowhunter immediately panicked and lifted his body from the other person's one; his breathing had turned faster and he had trouble to breathe.

Alec was looking around him, trying to remember where he was, since he didn't know how he had ended up there, why he wasn't in his creepy loft, without that body under him, and where was his shirt.

Suddenly he heard a voice, a girl's one, calling his name, and he panicked even more. Who was that girl? How had he ended there, with a girl?

Why was he shirtless?!

His breathing was fastening, and he had a lot of trouble to breathe, or even pull air into his lungs; his vision had turned blurry, and he couldn't see properly.

Alec heard the girl calling him again, and suddenly the body under him moving; the Shadowhunter still didn't know from who that body was, and didn't even know if it was from a girl or a boy, but be only wanted to get away from there, from that unknown place, with people he didn't know.

Alec fell on his back, still on the sofa, though, and put his hands on his bare chest, trying to ease the pressure in his chest. He heard his name again, but this time not from the girl's voice, but a boy's one.

Everything seemed to be slower around him, and he saw the blurred silhouettes of someone leaning close to him, and he panicked more; he didn't like when people, even more if he didn't know who they were, got closer him without a reason he knew, and in that moment, he didn't know why that person had leaned to him.

Suddenly his sight turned clear again, and he recognized the one who was so close to him, with a very worried face: Magnus.

"M-M-Mag-Magnus-s... I... I can-can-t bre-bre-breathe-the..." He made it to tell the Warlock that, between pants.

Magnus nodded fast, and put a hand on Alec's chest. The Warlock didn't seem to care about the fact that Alec wasn't wearing any shirt. "Remember... In and out, in... And... Out... Focus on my breathing..." The brown-eyed boy took Alec's hand and put it on his own chest, so Alec could concentrate on his breathing and steady heartbeat.

It took two minutes, but Alec finally calmed down a bit, and his breathing turned more steady. He let his head fall back, and took a deep breath.

Alec remembered who was the girl, where he was, and why he was there; he didn't remember when his shirt had disappeared, though.

Magnus and Catarina sighed, and the two Warlocks let themselves breathe.

The Shadowhunter felt some kind of emptiness inside him, and he tried to remember if he had done something that had made him feel that way, but he couldn't even remember what happened before falling asleep.

"Alexander..." Magnus muttered.

Alec shook his head, and closed his eyes, taking deep breaths, trying to calm himself down more.

The blue-eyed boy ran his free hand through his hair, while the other was still on his bare chest.

Magnus moved his hand and put it on Alec's one, on his chest, taking it; the brown-eyed boy felt Alec's chest warm, and tried not to think nor look at Alec's body, knowing the Shadowhunter would probably freak out if he caught him staring.
