.-=Sophie's POV=-.

I had been teleporting for so long, and I was honestly exhausted. My being dead decreased so little every time I teleported. My wrist flashed before I could teleport for the last time and finally come back to life.

"Yes?" I asked Kenric, my voice dripping with exhaustion.

"We have good reason to believe that the Neverseen will plan an attack at one of their locations. We wanted you to eavesdrop but you're clearly tired, so we can--" I cut him off. "It's fine! I can do it. Where's the location?"

Kenric sent me a picture of the area. "Many of the... dead Neverseen will be guarding the building so be careful."

I nodded. Thinking ahead, if my only option was to teleport out of that situation, I may forget what happened. I grabbed a marker (A/N: Do the Lost Cities even have markers? If they don't pretend they do 😂) to write it on my wrist or something.

Imagining my destination, I arrived at the area. If they didn't have their dead people guarding them, I would have walked right in. But that wouldn't work this time. I climbed up the wall to the window that was lit. It was partially open. Great. Now, what were they planning...

"... we'll show up at the Foxfire celebration," I began writing on my wrist. "cause a black out, and when everyone is freaking out, we hold the Council hostage. We will demand the things we need. Any complaints?"

"What about the Black Swan? Surely we'll need to take care of them." That was another Neverseen member.

"True... Gisela, make sure they catch sight of you and follow you." One of the figures nodded. Well, now I knew where Lady Gisela was. Gethen phased through thee door and saw me. Uh oh.

"Don't even think about leaving, Sophie. I will track you down." Well. That's nice.

I glanced down. Was I high enough to teleport? I can't risk exposing the Black Swan's hideout. I was surprised by how high we were. This height would be close, but I could do it.

"Actually, I was thinking leaving sounded pretty good." And with that, I jumped.

Crashing into the void, it occurred to me I didn't know where to go. Havenfield? Maybe that would work. I shoved the picture of Calla's Panakes tree out of my head, landing in the soft petals on the ground.

Something wasn't right.

What happened?

All I could remember was incredible pain in my stomache and Fitz begging me not too leave...

Did I die and come back to life?!

Then that means...... My thoughts trailed off as I spotted something black on my wrist.

The Neverseen are going to cause a black out at the Foxfire festival and hold the Council hostage. Gisela will lure the Black Swan away from the scene so they can't stop them from demanding the things they need.

How did I know that?!

I was convinced that I had some sort of afterlife and came back to life. That was the weirdest thought ever. Hold on, if I had been dead then... Grady and Edaline! I took off in the pastures. No one was there. They must be inside. I raced up to the house. The door was open.

Sandor would never be so careless.

Sandor.

If I wasn't there then did Sandor get reassigned? And the rest of my bodyguards?

I heard soft crying inside and all thoughts disappeared in my mind. I raced in and saw Grady comforting a crying Edaline. I tackled them with a hug and they squawked in alarm.

(Ha. Squawked. Imagine Grady and Edaline doing that though 😂)

.-=No one's POV=-.

Grady and Edaline were confused. Who would hug them and why were they here?

"I love you guys," Sophie whispered and the two adults gasped and stepped back to see there brown eyed, blond daughter.

"S-Sophie?" Edaline stuttered and rushed to hug her. "How are you here?"

"I-I don't know but I guess I was dead and came back to life? If that makes sense."

Grady recovered from his shock and joined the hug, and that's when Sophie realized that she couldn't tell anyone that she knew the Neverseen's plans. She would have to stop them on her own.

"How long have I been dead?"

Edaline started crying again. "Seven months," She sobbed. Sophie had been dead for seven months. She pulled away and blinked in surprise.

"What do you remember?" Grady questioned.

"I remember being in pain and then waking up by Calla's Panakes tree and realizing I must've died." She answered. Grady grabbed his imparter.

"Show me Alden," he commanded.

"Grady? Is something wrong?"

"No Alden. Actually, something went extremely right, no matter how confusing it is."

When Alden asked what, Grady turned his imparter to face the chair Sophie had been sitting in. Alden gasped.

"Sophie?! Are you really there?"

"Yeah, although I don't know how."

"Give me a minute and I'll be right over," Alden said. Everyone nodded and Alden blinked away.

.-=Alden's POV=-.

(A/N: I know! It's something new and we're all gonna die! Just kidding just branching out!)

Sophie was alive? How is that possible? I went downstairs to see everyone but Grady, Edaline, and apparently, Sophie. They all looked at me.

"We're all going to have to head to Havenfield right now." My words were met with confused looks. I smiled. "You'll see."

After their group had leaped to Havenfield, we all approached where Sophie was, although only I knew they were there. When we walked into the room everyone but me gasped.

"Sophie?!"

A/N: I'm going to stop it right there even though I want to keep writing. I don't want to put TOO much in the chapter and not have anything else to write! Anyways I hope you enjoy Chapter 6!
