When Trying Fails....

When the lonely feel alone

And when the independent live on their own

Its seems like the unspoken words are suddenly spun

Into the fabrics of our unfix-able lives

Sometimes the unkind are not spoken to

And the pushovers are taken for granted

Then you wonder what'll happen to good reliable you

So when does the confusion end

Try and send a message in a bottle and it doesn't reach its destination

Try to call out a name but don't hear a response

Try to walk till you find them but they're already gone

Sing to them but they already know the song

Try to ask a question but the answers unknown

Try to find a gem that is buried into stone

Try to find a reason with no motivation there

Try to find the right moment when the moments are no longer fair

Why look into one's eyes that are empty and hollow

The painted on smiles are way too much to swallow

Why should one laugh when they only want to cry

Why is life a book filled with impertinent lies

One night on the prairie the old oak mourned

Its leaves and its branches were almost torn

The grass went on whispering

To the birds and the bees

One morning someone remembered then dropped to their knees

If life really is going to be this way

Then what's the point in living today if tomorrow will be the same

Walk up the staircase to fall back down, the bottom is water, and soon you'll drown

Why make plans when things never go right

Stay up till early in the morning but can't sleep at night

Keep on telling yourself that everything is okay

Then again what else is there to say.
