Sleep

darkness is not a virtue

it slows you down and makes you weak

darkness is not a sickness

though it makes you feel queer

the silence lays still on the air

almost afraid to take a breath

breathe,breathe,breathe

that steady beating in your chest makes you feel quezzy and unreal

the feel sending chills down your spin

the sound unwlecome

silence is virtue

when the sun rises

the darkness remains on your eyes

every night a new shade of black

eyes grow weary

you look older

cant sleep

the silence envelopes you

darkness remains unique

it scares away your shivers in the cold

and the chattering teeth

your sniffles and sneezes

your worry and unhappiness

floats away

when you close your eyes all else dies

when the sudden prestige of darkness grasps you tight you give in

falling into a long-lasting sleep
