*Justin's POV*

After about ten minutes of talking to the woman on the phone, I heard sirens coming down the street. My body shook with happiness as I realized that some on was finally going to help us.

"Baby?" I whispered, kissing her temple.

"Hmm?"

"Help is here for us. We're going to be alright." I told her.

I heard her giggle just a little and I could feel her smiling.

Just then, there were hard knocks on the door, causing us both to jump in fear.

"This is the police, is there anyone in here? " I heard a male voice ask.

"Yes, yes we're in here!" I said. As I was about to get up to unlock the door, he yelled:

"Stand back, we're going to bring down the door!"

I relaxed. "We're out of the way."

A gew seconds after I said that, the door came crashing down and many people rushed into the room.

A man darted for. Stephanie and carried her bridal style out of the room.

I slowly got up and another guy helped me out of the room and down the stairs. When we made it down, there were already many officers already investigating and checking out the house.

As I was walking with the man I heard one of the officers say, "He must have gotten away."

My stomach turned. No no no! They have got to find this bastards! They can't get away with what they did to my baby. I don't care about me, I care about her!

The man took me outside where there were tons of cop cars and ambulance trucks. He sat me down on the back of the truck and began examining my cuts and bruises. The only thing that I needed was peroxide and bandages. I didn't need any serious medical attention.

But Stephanie was the one I was worried about.

I looked over at her limp body. She was lying down on a stretcher in the back of the truck. There were several people studying her and that worried me even more.

I got up and walked over to the truck she was in. A woman came out and greeted me.

"Is she going to be okay?" I asked nervously.

She sighed and looked at me. "Well, she has lots of bruising on her face and arms which isn't so bad. We are going to prescribe her some things to ease the pain."

I nodded at the good news.

"But," My heart dropped.

"What do you mean but?"

"I'm not sure how this happened but she has a sprained wrist." She said. "Also, we have  ok take her to the hospital because she need a stitching above her eyebrow. The person who struck a punch at her probably was wearing something around his finger that cut her." She explained.

I nodded. "Can I see her?"

"Yes, but be very careful with her. Her body is very weak right now and she can't really talk or move. If she can, it might just be a little hard to her. That is only temporary. She should be okay after she eats and goes to the sleep for the night."

I thanked her and climbed into the back of the truck with her. There was enough room for me to climb in because all of the people who were examining her had stepped out to talk. I took a seat just on the edge of the stretcher.

Her eyes were closed and her breathing was slow and light. I stroked the side of her face gently, causing her to flinch.

"Hi, beautiful." I said.

She opened her eyes slowly and squinted. "H-Hi."

I smiled at her. "How you feelin'?"

She groaned. "I..I f-feel numb. I'm in so m-much p-pain, Justin." A tear rolled down her cheek.

I quickly wiped it away then she asked, "What did I d-do...to d-d-deserve t-this?"

That broke my heart. She feels so bad that she thinks this is her fault.

"You didn't do anything. None of this is your fault. Okay, darling?"

She barely nodded.

I kissed her forehead.

"I hear that my baby needs stitches." I sigh.

"I look t-that bad?"

I laugh. "No. You still look beautiful."

She laughs and shake her head no.

"Really, you do. And this just makes you look tough, not ugly." I said.

She giggles and pokes out her lips for me to kiss.

At that moment, the doctors came back in the truck and one went into the drivers seat.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"We're taking her to the hospital for her stitches and wrist. I just need to ask, how are you related to her?" A kind woman asked.

"I'm her boyfriend. Am I allowed to come?"

She nods. "Yes, you are. Just sit tight." She said and closed the doors. She sat beside us. "The officers are further investigating your home. It wont be so much of a mess when you get back."

"Alright. I j uts want them to find those guys." I said. "I have a question. How long will she be in the hospital after she gets her stitches and stuff?"

"Just one day. After that, you guys are free to go."

I grin. "Thank you."

"No problem."

I turn back to Stephanie to see her lying there, eyes closed again. I whispered to her.

"You're fine baby, you're fine."
