"What a show," Garrett said as he walked down the steps that led from the stage.

That was the third time he had played Charlotte, North Carolina, but only the first time he had played in that venue. His crowds had grown, and so had his need for a larger space.

He spent the night under the bright lights in a sparkling, blue metallic suit. The perfect vision of a star. His long, dark curls brushed his shoulders as he danced to his own melodies. His adoring fans threw flowers at him, which he picked up carefully, like they were fragile China. He smelled them and laid them on his piano as he sat at the bench. His gentle fingers pressed the black and white keys. He played "Bye-Bye Darling" to end the show.

After the event had ended, Garrett walked backstage, and was greeted by a swarm of female fans. He politely signed all of their posters and took pictures with them.

"And who might you be?" Garrett asked, turning to a pretty blonde.

She blushed.
