~Your POV~

First day of school.

I walk into the classroom, looking around and settled for a seat in the back corner. I stayed quiet, waiting for the teacher to come in.

Then, a boy sat next to me. I took a glance at him and immediately looked away. He was cute.

"Hi, I'm (c/n). What's your name?"

"(Y/n)." I answered.

We started talking. Turns out he was new. He was also quite funny.

I think me and him are going to be great friends.

I've known (c/n) for a few months now. We've gotten really close. We hangout together a lot and I think I might like him.

"Come on, (c/n). Let's go to the cafeteria. I'm starving." I told him, grabbing his hand and pulling him with me.

"So cute." I heard a girl whisper.

He laughed and walked a couple feet behind me. We got our food and sat down at one of the tables.

We were talking and laughing, making jokes about random stuff.

He never fails to make me smile.

It's already mid-school year.

I think I'm going to tell him. So I sent him a message, telling him to meet me at the park after school.

School ended, I went to the park and waited for him. I was nervous.

"Hey (y/n)." A voice said. I looked up and saw (c/n). "What do you need?"

"I, um, I need to tell you something." I stuttered. "I guess I'll just get straight to the point, I like you, (c/n). No, wait, not like, I love you, (c/n)." I played with my hands. "I know you may not like me and I know this might ruin our friendship, but I just wanted to let you know."

"I love you too, (y/n)." He said, a smile on his face.

My heart fluttered. I looked away and smiled.

"Why don't we go get some food somewhere? I'm starving." He said, grabbing my hand and pulling me with him.

"But I don't have any money." I told him. 

"I didn't say you were paying." He chuckled. "I'll pay."

He's so sweet.

We found ourselves at a nearby McDonald's. We ordered our food and he paid for everything like he said he would.

We sat down and ate, talking and laughing like we always do. It was almost like we were a couple.

"(Y/n)? Why didn't you tell me you liked me sooner? I heave been waiting for you to say that." (C/n) asked.

"I was scared I guess. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to reject me."

"I would never reject you! Are you crazy? I love you too much to even think about it!"

He walked me home. I said a goodbye and hugged him. I went in and greeted my mom.

"Where were you and who was that boy you were with?" My mother asked.

"(C/n), you know. That boy I told you about. I told him I liked him and he likes me back."

"Are you two dating?"

"No... Not yet, at least."

"Listen to me, (y/n)." My mother said sternly. "You are not allowed to date. You are too young. You're not even in college yet. Wait until you're older, understand?"

"But, mom-"

"No dating until you're eighteen."

"Why?"

"Because you, darling, are way too young. You two can still hangout and all that, but there will be no boyfriends, okay? This isn't up for discussion."

"Yes, mom." I said, sighing. "Call me down for dinner."

I went to school on Monday, meeting him by the lockers. He said hi and I greeted him back.

"Is there something wrong?" (C/n) asked.

"My mom won't allow us to date."

"What? Why?"

"She says I'm too young. I tried to reason with her but she said it wasn't up for discussion." I sighed. "But my mom said we can stay friends."

A frown made its way on (c/n)'s face. He was upset too.

"That's okay. We can still stay friends. It's just gonna be different."

"Yeah."

We had no choice. We aren't allowed to be together. He's the right person at the wrong time.

I guess this is what forbidden love feels like.
