A/N: hey guys just wanna let you know that if you're reading this and haven't read my other story; feathers, then it will probably not make any sense! So just keep that in mind before you start reading! To anyone who has already read feathers then I hope you enjoy this book or "fanfiction" ( ;) ) just as much as you did my other one! Ily

Castiel Novak taps his fingers on the kitchen table restlessly. He is pondering on whether or not he should trust his older sister, Zandriel and whether he should help her kick all of the demons out of hell. What good would that do? They would only come up to earth and cause mayhem that the angels would just have to sort out, so why kick them all out? Crowley was evil, sure! But he had rules, he had control and he wasn't stupid. He knew that if things in hell got out of control then his neck would be on the line so he ran a pretty tight ship down under. But now that was all messed up due to Zandriel agreeing to marrying him and taking over hell completely, scaring the demons out of their own home.

"Bee? You look stressed." Dean Winchester had unintentionally sneaked up behind Castiel and made him jump out of his skin. Dean gave him a sad smile and walked over to rub his shoulders. Cas sighed slightly and relaxed his shoulders into the message, closing his eyes and leaning back into his boyfriend.

"I don't know Dean, I'm just thinking about what Zandriel said." He mutters and Dean strokes his hair softly and leans down to kiss his forehead.

"Don't worry about it today eh? Why don't we go somewhere? Why don't we go to the mountain where you learned how to fly?" Castiel spun around in the stool to look at his boyfriend and rubbed his eyes tiredly. Stubble had started to appear on his face and bags were stacked under his eyes, making them look puffy and more squinty then usual. Dean looked normal if not a little bit stressed out due to all the crazy information he had received in the past year but to Castiel, he always looked perfect.

"You know I only have until the end of the week to think about helping her Dean. If I say yes, my family will disown me and if I say no, well, who knows what Zandriel will do." She was little by little turning evil, the dark shadow of the underworld drifting over her sight and blinding her to all the goodness in the world.

"I know bee, but you can't let that be on your mind for the whole week otherwise you will get depressed and tired. Take a day or two off from thinking about the end of the world and demons and let me show you that even in the darkest of times we can still have fun." Dean grinned at his boyfriend and Castiel couldn't help but let a small smile slip out and appear on his face. "Yes! I see a smile, that means we are going."

"Dean, I didn't say-"

"We are going!" He stomps his foot like a moody child and crosses his arms over his chest, sticking out his bottom lip. Castiel rolls his eyes and slides off his stool to stand in front of his boyfriend and wrap his arms around his waist. He leans up and places a kiss on Deans pouted lip before smiling a small smile and nodding at him.

"Maybe it would be good to get away from it all for a few days." He shrugs and Dean cheers.

"Yay! Alright I will go pack, you go and tell the family." They both part ways and Castiel walks into the living room where both his and Dean's family are lounging around, talking.

"So this yellow eyed demon is the one that killed my wife?" John Winchester, Dean's dad, asked Michael. Michael nodded and itched his chin slightly.

"From what you described of her death, I'm almost certain it's Azazal, the yellow eyed demon."

"Well I have to go and kill him!"

"You're not going anywhere. We need you here, there are more important things afoot then a rogue demon whom so happened to kill a hunters wife. You're the best and most brutal at what you do so I'm going to have to order you too stay." Michael says with authority in his voice and John looks at him lividly.

"Order me? ORDER ME?! You can't order me to do anything!" He snaps and Michael grunts.

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Easy means that you willingly help us and then after if we all survive, we can kill your demon. The hard way is that we tie you to a chair and don't let you leave until you agree to help us. It's your choice."

"Fine." John huffs before slouching in the couch, grumpily. Castiel looked at where Gabriel, Balthazar and Sam were sat and smiled slightly. Sam was falling to sleep on Gabriel's shoulder out of boredom and Gabe had his arm wrapped around the younger boy. No one really seemed to notice but it wasn't as if they didn't make it obvious. Castiel wondered how Dean still didn't know about Gabriel's and Sam's relationship status but then again he had a lot of his mind, they all did.

"Castiel? Are you okay?" Michael asked Castiel and he just nodded and shrugged.

"I was just wondering if I could go up in the mountains with Dean for a day or two? You know, just to clear my head." Michael contemplated his request and finally nodded.

"I don't see why not. Anna is getting her wings soon and due to the fact that she is the angel of love I'm sure all of us will want to be out of the house when her stages start. Take as much time a you need Castiel."

"Thanks." Castiel mumbles out and turns on his heel.

"Can we come?" Gabriel and Balthazar asked at the same time but Castiel turns back to them and looks them dead in the eye.

"Sure, I mean, if you don't mind listening to loud moaning all night long." The boys looked at Castiel in horror and shuddered.

"TMI! Too much info Cas!" Balthazar shrieked and Castiel just shrugged his shoulders and smiled before turning back around and walking out of the living room door.

Back upstairs Dean was still packing but when he saw Cas he stopped for a moment and shrugged. The room was a mess and there was more clothes on the floor then in the actual suitcase. Cas chuckled slightly at the state of his room and shook his head.

"I don't know why I even bother?" Dean huffs.

"Me neither. You know I can just zap everything we need there. Plus, we are only going for a few days. It looks as if your trying to fit both our whole wardrobes into one bag."

"Alright sassy pants, we will do it your way. Zap that shit." Castiel clicked his fingers and suddenly his room was tidy, the suitcase was full and zipped up and the tenting gear was in a nice neat pile in the corner. "Show off."

"Don't be jealous." Castiel grins and it feels good. He didn't know the last time he grinned and then he remembered his and Deans date night and when Dean had so kindly sucked him off in the back of the cinema was probably the last time he smiled like that. That was around a week and a half ago. Zandriel had given up two whole weeks to make up his mind about helping her. That night was also the last time that he and Dean had done anything together, both sexually and metaphorically, but that would all change when they go back up too the mountains. He would make sure of it.

A/N: so yeah, I think this is long enough for a prologue. You get the gist right? If not just read the description :-) hope you liked!
