Dean (POV)
I was sat at Bobby’s watching Sam and Gabriel talking quietly to themselves, catching up on the good, the bad and the ugly. I wasn’t listening to their conversation but just staring at them with intense jealousy. That was until Bobby caught me and told me to go out and mope around instead of doing it in his house. With a loud and obnoxious huff, I walked out of Bobby’s house and slammed the door shut in their faces. I knew I was being a big baby but i didn’t understand why Sam got his angel back but I couldn’t get mine. I sighed as I walked down to the bar rather than driving, knowing that i wouldn’t be able to drive it back after I was finished with the place.
I walked into the bar with my head drooped slightly, well over-thinking this whole Sam and Gabriel situation. I plopped down into the bar stool and waved the barman over to order a drink. I ordered tequila shot, knowing that a few of these would get me absolutely wasted, especially on an empty stomach. I was in the middle of my third shot when I felt a tap on my shoulder which made me jump and splash the full shot all down myself.
“Aw, what the hell!?” I shouted loudly before turning around in the bar stool and coming face to face with the same blue eyed, trench coat wearing man that I had met only a few weeks earlier. “Carl?”
The man frowned slightly but nodded, looking at me intently. He was standing really close to me so i back away from him slightly and raised an eyebrow at him.
“Did your momma never tell you about personal space?” I ask him and he tilts his head in confusion, squinting his eyes. My heart almost lurched to my mouth at his action, knowing that this is exactly what Castiel used to do when he was younger.
“Dean...” He said, his voice as low and husky and sexy as I remembered. He backed away slightly, realising how close to me he was. “I need to talk to you.”
“Sure beautiful, about what?” I ask him, grinning wolfishly. He sighs and sits on the bar stool next to me but turning to face me on it. I copy his actions so we are now sat face to face.
“Dean...” He starts but I can’t keep myself from lurching forward and kissing him square on the lips. I don’t exactly know what made me do it, I hadn’t even had that much to drink but just the idea of human contact made me feel better about the whole Gabriel and Sam situation. I pulled away from him and looked into his luscious blue eyes, smiling brightly.
“What’s the word, Cas?” I asked him without thinking, wondering what he wanted to say.
“It’s a shortened version of my name.” He replies back also without thinking and my eyes suddenly go wide.
“Wait, what?”
“What?”
“What?!”
“What...?” He stares and me in confusion and I gulp.
“What did you just say?” I ask him quickly and he frowns.
“I said that it was a shortened version of my name.” He says, still not getting it.
“I called you Cas though...” His mouth opens slightly as if he was about to say something but then it suddenly closes. He looks at me sadly and sighs, rubbing his eyes. “Cas?”
“Dean, i’m so sorr-“
“YOU’RE CASTIEL?!” I scream at him so a few people in the crowded bar turned to stare at us but I didn’t care.
“Dean, calm down.” He says awkward, looking around the room worriedly and nervously.
“Why should I?” I shout still but a bit quieter this time. “You lied to me! You said your name was Carl!”
