Cas (POV)

I was being dragged off Dean by somebody but I didn't know who. I didn't care either, I just wanted to go back to him and lay on him until he woke up. But he wouldn't wake up, I had tried shaking him, throwing water over him and kissing him. I had tried just about anything but he still didn't wake up. Someone was pulling me away from Dean and dragging me away from the battlefield altogether. Angels and demons alike were scattered dead across the muddy ground by my eyes were only on the distancing Dean Winchester lying dead on the floor.

“He’ll be okay Castiel!” I heard someone shout in my ear but I didn’t know who. I couldn’t function properly as I screamed Dean’s name over and over again, trying to get back to him. I was suddenly spun around and was now facing my sister, Zandriel who was gently hitting my cheek to get me to calm down. “Calm down, brother. He will be okay. I promise.”

“How do you know?” I choke out and she sighs.

“He was dying Castiel, a demon had stabbed him in the back so I sent Lucifer over to help him because everyone else was so busy. He is too much of a good hunter to waste Castiel, so I had Lucifer turn him.” She explained and my watery eyes narrowed suspiciously.

“What do you mean turn him?” I ask viciously and she flinches slightly and backs away from me with her hands up.

“Now, Cas… don’t get angry okay?” He says slowly and carefully and I approach her, my hands balled up into fists.

“TURNED HIM INTO WHAT ZANDRIEL!?” I scream at her and her wings extend from her back, going into full wingspan ready for me to pounce on her.

“A demon.” I pounced but she was ready for it, she flew up into the sky, dodging my rage completely but I knew she was going to do this so I also extended my wings and flew up into the sky, trying to grab her back down. She was too quick for me though, her wings knocking me way off course due to how big they were and finally after a full blown ten minutes I gave up and flew back to Bobby’s where everyone else now was. I smashed down into the front yard, causing a massive crack in the ground and slammed the door shut when I entered the house. Sam and Balthazar was hovering over Gabriel who was lying on the couch, blood dripping down his forehead while Bobby was limping around the kitchen, trying to find something to wrap his leg in. They all looked up at me when I entered and I looked back at them in anger that wasn’t particularly directed at them.

“What’s up with you?” Gabriel asked me, sitting up in the sofa slightly to get a better look of my angry face.

“OH NOTHING MUCH, JUST ZANDRIEL HAS GONE AND TOLD LUCIFER TO TURN DEAN INTO A FUCKING DEMON IS ALL!” I shout and Sam stood up quickly, his mouth dropping open in horror.

“What?” He asked me in a small voice and I felt completely guilty. I was so overcome by my own grief that I had completely forgotten Sam and how he would react to this whole thing. I gulped down my set of tears and looked at him sadly.

“I’m sorry Sam, I shouldn’t have told you like that.” I choke out and he shakes his head in disbelief.

“You’re lying.” He says quietly and I sigh and look at him in sadness. “YOU’RE LYING!” He shouts at me this time, grabbing his hair in shock and horror before stomping down the hall to his room and slamming the door. My shoulders drop in shame and I rub my eyes tiredly before the door opens and Zandriel walks in.

“Good news Cas.”

“Oh really? Because the last news you gave me wasn’t so great Zee.” I say sarcastically and she rolls her eyes.

“The first thing Dean said when he woke up was YOUR name.” She says, smirking at me. “So that means he may still love you, even as a demon. That’s great right.”
