"Alright class today you guys need to pick a class president", he said looking as interested as a lion staring at a bunch of cabbages.
Everyone started bustling about looking around and I couldn't help but be glad that my thoughts were elsewhere. I looked around wondering who to pick, meeting plenty of gazes as I did. It seems after the battle trial class I had gotten a lot of attention but having been immune to it at this point it didn't bother me.
My eyes spotted the girl with the spiky pony tail. Her name was.... hmmm what was it? Ah- Momo. She had a elegant air about her and seemed extremely diligent.
"Perfect", I muttered putting her in for class president. I myself had never taken on such a responsibility and wasn't planning on.
Eventually the results came through and as I hoped Momo was the president and Izuku was vice. I couldn't help but feel awkward trying not to stare at his direction.i lowered my head on the desk.
I really need to make up with him...
Lunch came along and in the cafeteria I spotted Iida, Ururaka and Izuku sitting down and eating together. I gulped maybe I should do this when he's alone?
I stared at the trio in hesitation and turned to join a lone student who sat at a table. I sighed as I sat down. Glancing to my right several times. I couldn't help but feel a pang at his normal behaviour.
"Your Ella Kagarashi, right?", I heard from the student and I finally turned to look at them properly. My eyes narrowed as I took in his appearance. Crazy purple hair that needs brushing, dark circles and narrow eyes. From his appearance I couldn't gauge if he was a bully type or a pest type. I raised a brow.
"And you are?", i said unable to help the hostility in my voice and the guards I suddenly put up.
"Shinso, Hitoshi Shinso", he smiled his eyes narrowed as well . Okay but why did he say it like that?
"Yeah so how do you "Shinso" know my name?", I tilted my head. He's not a bully type but he seems intimidating.
"Your villain like quirk." His words made my body tremble not in fear but in anger and the air around me became poisonous.
"It's not villain like! It was just used for the wrong purposes. No quirk is villain like it's up to the person who holds it to determine that!", I slammed the table we were sitting on with my palms in unconscious anger.
He looked surprised for a few seconds and then recovered with a smirk.
"But society plays a part in how you view yourself, no?", he seemed confident albeit a bit swayed.
I froze remembering how conscious I used to feel of how others would perceive my quirk. But just who is Shinso? How could he understand what that felt like?!
"Shut up... if you don't understand then keep it that way", I glared at him.
"Heh why do you think I approached you?..." he questioned as if I knew the answer.
"You didn't I literally just sat in front of you...", I deadpanned.
He froze realisation hit him. His shoulders started trembling.
He started laughing. Harder and harder until he couldn't breath and tears formed in the corner of his eyes.
I just stared at him and continued munching on the rice in my tray. This guy is a freak but eventually his laughing made me chuckle a bit.
"Haha", he held his stomach, "Sorry I was so nervous about thinking of ways to approach you that I completely forgot that I didn't actually approach you", my interest peaked up at that and the guard that lowered unknowingly diminished.
"Why would you be thinking of ways to approach me?", it wasn't the first time I have been approached from people with ulterior motives but this guy didn't seem to be very hostile.
"I was surprised when I heard someone like you had been put in the Hero class to be completely blunt... I thought people with villainous quirks would be put in classes that kept them from using it"...
It was true many rumours circulated about me but people rarely guessed who I was due to my mixed blood. That's right my father wasn't Japanese and my mother who had only met him once just described him as a white foreigner due to that my eyes were blue and my facial features differed from average Japanese people.
Anyway his logic really made me feel confused.
"Is that a rumor going around or did you make that up?", I blinked a few extra times making sure i heard him right.
He became slightly sullen at that his gaze downwards towards his tray and his hand that his chopsticks were clenched.
"Shinso?", I called at him looking at his clenched fist and tense body language.
He relaxed suddenly and looked up at me.
"Be completely honest with me...", he suddenly started and I nodded along his words. " what do you think when you hear the words "mind control?".
Mind control? Cool! But it's kind of scary at the same time and if in the hands of an enemy... terrifying.
"It's definitely impressive but if it's in the wrong hands it's horrific to imagine the damage... it's kinda like my own quirk", I mused all in all it's helpful.
Shinso smiled when he heard that.
"That sounded honest... thank you", it sounded genuine and I looked up at him marvelled. Why did he thank me?
"There's no need to thank me..." I replied feeling slightly embarrassed but it was drowned under the sudden screech of alarm. There was an intruder.
Students ran in hordes and suddenly losing sight of shinso I became drowned in them. And with so many human bodies close to me stopping time was definitely impossible. Looking at it from a smart or cunning perspective it would've been the perfect way to mobilise my uncle but I didn't know the depth of his skill because he died before I was born.
Endeavours voice suddenly rang in my head and I felt fear overtake me. Somebody pushed me and I almost tripped but my arm was firmly grabbed by an unknown hand. Tight and fiercely.
