The Childhood Friend (Bakugo x oc x todoroki x Midoriya )

Chapter 26

Bakugo sat down on his bed. A desolate gaze in his eyes.

"Damn" he covered his face with his hands and flopped back on his bed.

He messed up... and he was well aware.

But how else was he supposed to express it. These feeling that seemed to trace back to his childhood. So... confusing yet haunting.

He wanted her.

He gritted his teeth as he recalled his deal with Todoroki. So much for trusting rotten toothpaste hair.

Anger flared in his eyes when he thought of how Todoroki had shielded Ella as if he was some kind of monster.

When did this all even start?

Ella has always followed Bakugo, along with Izuku. No matter where he adventures to, she was always there. Even more than Izuku.

Right... back then she wasn't stuck to Izuku like glue and was more comfortable and relaxed when with the fiery blonde.

"Bakugo when you become a hero I'm going to be your number one fan!" She jumped up and down excitedly.

"Calm down, all I got rid off was a spider" Bakugo chuckled slightly enjoying the attention but pretending to be annoyed.

"But you saved me" she grinned up at him from her shorter frame. The face full of admiration and affection caught him off guard.

'Why does she look so... cute? No! She's not cute! Not cute at all' his face reddened as he frantically tried to sort out his thoughts. Ella just stared at him confused but still thankful.

She liked Bakugo. He protected her. He could protect her if those people came again.

'The ones with the stones' she smiled, knowing he would help her.

Moments like this seemed to always happen, and Bakugo always assumed that gaze in her eyes would always be there. No matter their age.

But then he found out.

He couldn't carry on being friends with her. Not if he really wanted to make it as a hero.

So he played the Hero like he should be and made her out to be the Villain she was.

Then that day happened.

He remembered the shock of being beaten by that small frame that would always quiver in his presence. The rage and anger... and hate that was directed at him. That consumed any flicker of admiration left in her.

He let it happen. At that moment in time he knew. He knew that he was the Villain in those games.

He stopped it after that. Hushing everybody's confusion with his charisma.

He noticed how she was always around Izuku. He caught them holding hands or hugging at times. She would comfort him when he would get hurt and he would do the same.

Bakugo disliked it. He didn't know at the time that the suffocating feeling he felt, which he would feel ease up whenever he tormented Izuku, was jealousy.

He recalled the smiles of admiration that were stolen by Izuku in his mind. But they belonged to him. He had them first. He had her first.

Then Todoroki, the son of Endeavor, came along. He was always around El and was just barely off stalking her.

He confronted him, annoyed at his behaviour and discovered exactly who El really was. They formed an agreement to protect her but Bakugo needed some time.

Time to think that is.

He finally understood who Ella Kagarashi really was.

Who this girl who drove him mad, actually was.
