Amelia's P.O.V

With dad and Nathan gone , also Skylar being busy my job was to find Pete , I knew the enemy had either kidnapped him or killed him , but I had this much faith in Pete he had left some clue for me and it was a matter of time for me to find it out. I called Pete's office to get his house address because his personal number was not reachable and also his office colleagues had no useful piece of information for me . As he was a field agent he worked mostly alone and his details were next to impossible for me, but gets his house address was relatively easier to find out. I explained all the maids in the house that I was going out for shopping because I felt my own maids can turn against me and I cannot trust anyone now.

I stopped my car 1 block down the house and started walking, I didn't want to take chances. I stood infront of the house and then I clicked the doorbell twice, looking around I found nothing suspicious about the neighborhood, it was actually a pretty decent one , it had a small park for kids to play. The olderly couple next door were sitting on the porch and listning to some old classics and then the door infront of me was opened by a small girl who looked not more than 5 year old to me. Her pretty smile and her tutu made her look like a princess.

Wait.. Did I come to the right house ?? I didn't know Pete had a daughter...

"Baby Girl... Is your daddy home?" I ask her.

She looks at me and nods a no and runs back inside , and I hear a familiar voice calling the little girl,

"Fiona ...who's at the door?" and I see her approaching towards me, and I gasp.

"Oh my god!!! Amelia is that you?" she screams.

"Mitchell" I almost say in disbelief.

"Oh my god!!! Please come in" she hugged me and in hugged her back, I felt so much warmth after so long.

"Mommy who is she?" a voice broke us apart.

"Well Fiona she's my long lost best friend your aunt Amelia" she said to her daughter.

We sat down and started talking about how much we missed out on each others lives, she told me that she never got to tell me about her and Pete's Vegas wedding as they eloped together and then me settling in Oklahoma away from everyone and she got to know about Nathan , my son and Zander and my current relationship problems.

"I'm so sorry Amelia for not being there for you when you needed me the most" she sounded sad.

"I'm sorry too for not being there for your wedding and child's birth, she's absolutely beautiful just like her mumma" I said her.

"But how did you find me after all these years?" she asked me.

"It's a long story Mic , but I really need to get in touch with Pete first" I told her.

"But he is out on a mission, that's why he is out of the house for 2 months" she told me. I instantly felt so bad about it, he was away from his family just to protect my family . I was so proud of him for taking XXZcare of my best friend and my god daughter and being a great father and husband. I tell her everything about dad , Skylar and the recent events and she agrees to help me with my upcoming plans.

"Are you going to meet Zander and clear out your problems ?" she said me and sadly I had no answer to this because I have been ignoring his name since I'm back from hospital and facing him would be very difficult for me.

"I don't know Mic I'm scared of him, he's a unpredictable man with unpredictable actions, I really don't want to drag him in this mess, he suffered a lot and also I haven't forgiven him yet" I tell her .

"Amy you never actually gave him a chance to prove himself let him prove his worth to you, you need him as he needs you. I know you must think how am I supporting him after all the shits he's put you through but I'm telling you this he's changed for good and also he can help you with your situation. Trust me" she places her hand on mine which reflected assurance and then I hug her and stand up to leave.

"Aunty Amy will you visit us again?" Little Fiona asks me.

"Ofcourse baby girl " I bent down and kiss her cheeks and leave for home.

I found my best friend and now nothing can stop me from achieving my goal but first I need to meet Zander and talk to him and ask him to help me..
