Amelia's P.O.V

Waking up early has always been a good sign of a fresh start for me but I was missing Nathan waking up next to me but I knew it was for his safety. I freshened up and took a shower and then dressed myself up and went for my breakfast when I saw Skylar walking towards me all dressed up. He looked damn sexy and I would give it to him that, but he was another facade underneath his beautiful face. He comes up to me and kissing me on my cheeks, I could smell his shaving cream which was very vanilla-like.

" Good morning Amy," he said.

"Good morning Skylar let's have some breakfast I'm starving". And separated me from him and went towards my seat.

"Are you free today?" I ask him.

"After 12 why?" he asked.

"Come to my office then we can have lunch then, " I ask him.

"Oh my God!! Amelia Rose is asking me out on a date!!!" Skylar makes a weirdly cute face and then bursts into laughter. I laugh shortly after.

"If you don't want, we can cancel it" I play along.

"After ages, we finally get to go out, I'm not missing out on this" Skylar tells me and he gets up kisses my forehead, and then leaves for his office.

After he leaves the house help takes away the plates and then I call someone.

PLAN INTO ACTION

Pete's P.O.V

I have been tortured for days just to know why did I save Amelia and the boss is keeping me and they are possibly trying to tamper with my family and my work and also Amelia's life is in danger. I know Mic and my princess will be safe cause Mic knows everything and she was the one who wanted to protect Amelia in the first place and probably she knows my location too. She might be here cause the SOS is already being sent. They might be fast but I'm faster and if everything goes by plan Amelia is already informed and my team is ready to rescue me. The two bodyguards in front of my gate are fools and the one inside thinks I'm some dumb man.

"Can I get a glass of water?" I ask him.

When he hands me over the glass the see the shadow walking over me and in the reflection, I could guess it was my wife and probably team. I give him a sly smile and then stop breathing and then the famous smoke bomb appears and leaves him in shock and before he gets to react he is knocked off by one of my guys and before they get to know it we are already away from them and while the doctor was inspecting my injury I asked my partner to give me updates of Amelia's case and by the facts, there are many people involved and many dirt's are yet to dig up. But being a detective and keeping my life at my mouth always makes Mic always worried but that's my life.

3 Days Later.........

While having my breakfast Mic receives a call and she puts the phone speakers,

"Hey Pete yesterday I asked Zander for the divorce and I invited Skylar for lunch at my office I want you to go to Zander and personally deliver the papers to him and you know the rest" she hung up.

"When did she turn so cold? " Mic asked me. She is always worried about her best friend.

"She is on a protecting mode and she can go to any extend she just like you on a mission" I kissed her forehead and the went to get ready and get the show starting.

Amelia P.O.V

I went to the site when the construction was on the full force while Rachel was working and managing the office. I asked Ron to take back to my office after I checked everything with the engineer and the workers. After wishing everyone I finally came inside the office and sat inside and immediately called about the updates with the office and the future meetings and pending work with Rachel until lunch.

I was so into the paperwork I did not notice that Skylar was standing in the front door until I heard someone's phone click.

'When did you come? Why wasn't I informed?" I tell him and I was about to call Rachel when he interrupted me,

"I told them I wanted to surprise you, "He told me.

"How thoughtful of you!!" my voice dripping with sarcasm.

"If you haven't forgotten I was the one who planned this," I told him.

"I remember, but you were also the one who was busy to look at the time," he told me.

"So shall we order ?" I try to hide my embarrassment.

"I already bought our foods if that's okay with you," he tells me.

"Of course, " I tell him and we settle with the food.

In the middle of our lunch Zander brags in like a bull ready to hit anyone in front of him, he was fuming and he had papers in his hand and to which I assumed were our divorce papers.

Perfect Timing as always.

"What's this?" he throws the papers at me.

"You know what is it? We already talked about this" I tell him while picking up the papers.

"But this early, I thought you would give me a week at least to get over with it. Why are you in such a hurry? Do you want to marry him? Why? Just because he's your kid's father? Or is there something I can't put my fingers on? Is it his wealth or business? Or did he promise to be with you? What going on with you? Answer me... Please" he screamed at the end.

All three of us were stunned and shock registered my face was driving him crazy, Skylar walked forward and told Zander,

"It's better if you leave us alone, you can take two weeks to sign the papers not more than that, leave her in peace didn't you do enough to her already".

But Zander was not listening he looked directly at me waiting for me to answer all his questions...
