Tox's POV

"T-Tox..." Shade stutters taking a harder grip around the knife handle. "I-I know what you think..." "Shade," I answer calmly. "I don't think you're crazy or anything... but I wanna know why you're doing this!" "CAUSE I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!" he yells and points the knife to his chest. "Shade..." I sigh and takes a few steps towards him. "Just drop the knife and we cant talk about it!" "N-no... Don't come closer!" "Shade... I don't know why you're doing this... But I wanna help you! But I can't do that if you don't tell me what's wrong!" "Oh! Do you seriously think that I'll believe that?" "It's your decision whether to believe me or not! Just, please... drop the knife!" I can see his hands shaking before he drops it and collapses on the ground. I run up to him and throws away his knife. "Shade... All I want to know if why you're doing this... but if you don't want to tell me now that's okay!" he nods quickly nods and slowly gets up on his feet. "Follow me!" I say and grabs his left arm... leading him to his bed. "Now sit down and I'll go get some bandages for you!" "I have some in the bathroom..." I walk into his bathroom and opens a shelf. Yep! Here are some bandages! I grab a few rolls and soaks a towel in water to clean his cuts with. I walk out of the bathroom and sits down beside him in his bed.

Shade's POV

"This might sting a little but I'll be gentle!" Tox smiles and starts cleaning my cuts with a wet towel. I just don't know what to say... she has just discovered that I-I'm a monster but... she's helping me? 'I wanna know why you're doing this!' I can't tell her why I'm doing this... I can't! "There! All done!" I look on my arms and sees that they're both bandaged and that Tox is holding my hand. "Tox..." I mumble. "Yes?" "Can you promise me one thing?" "What is it?" "Please! Don't tell the others about this! They already think I'm a freak and-" "I promise I won't tell them!" she answers. "if YOU promise that you won't continue to cut yourself!" "But-" "Do you want me to keep your secret or not?" "F-fine! I'll try... but it's going to be hard!" "Then I'll help you! Plus, you're always alone in your suite when you're not eating so why don't spend some time together?" Why? "Y-you don't think I'm a monster after what you saw?" Now she tightens the grip around my hand and... moves closer... "Shade... I don't think you're a monster but... cutting yourself isn't good for you!" I nod silently... I know I shouldn't be doing it but... I can't help myself and it's the only thing that... helps me to have control over my emotions! "Now eat your breakfast!" Tox chuckles and hands me my plate. "By the way... Why were some of the others so mad at you?"

Talla's POV

Why did my sister run after that guy? He seems to be a bit of a troublemaker... "So Talla?" Camille asks. "Do you sleep in your sister's suite?" "Yep!" I answer. "I sleep in a tent next to her bed!" "You... sleep in a tent? Inside?" She frowns. "Yeah..." I chuckle and scratches the back of my head. "I kinda misunderstood her when she said the tournament was held on an island with a jungle..." "Hey, Cami!" someone says behind us. I turn around to see a boy walking up to us. "Hey, Talla! I'm Ash! Camille's boyfriend!" Okay! My sister REALLY needs to get a partner soon! Like, I'm dating a colleague from the hospital where I'm working and Tox says that Camille is her best friend! Also! Literally, EVERYONE here at the island has a partner! Like... I don't want my sister to be single for the rest of her life! She had a boyfriend a few months ago... Which she broke up with cause he was being WAY too bossy with her! So... I need to get my sister a boyfriend ASAP! "By the way... Who was that guy the others were mad at?" I ask. "Oh!" Ash smiles. "His name is Shade, he's the master of shadows! I don't know more about him..." "Yeah! He usually keeps to himself!" Camille agrees. "So... why did my sister run after him?" "Don't look at me!" Ash answers. "She's YOUR sister!"

I guess he's right... I say goodbye to them and walks up to my sister's suite. Hmmm... No one's here? Is she still with that shadow guy? I walk out and knocks on the door to the room he ran into. I wait a few seconds and them MY SISTER answers the door! "Talla! What are you doing here?" "I was wondering what took you so long!" "I was just helping Shade with something... By the way! I'm the older one of us so you don't have to worry!" "Two years!" I protest. "I'm only two years younger than you!" "Well, that still means that i'm older than you... I'll stay with him in his suite for a while... you know where to find me!" Then she just closes the door! What the hell is she helping him with? Wait... Ash and Camille said that he usually keeps to himself... and the others seemed to be pretty mad at him! Is he like a bad guy? Should I try to tell my sister about it... No, not without any evidence! All I have is my thoughts and I guess she won't listen to that... I guess I'll try to spy one them somehow... Wait! WHAT IF MY SISTER LIKES HIM!? But... How? She told me that she barely talked to anyone during the tournament except Camille and Ash and she hasn't met the others for like... I dunno A YEAR! So why is she suddenly into this guy? Hmm...
