Jayla's POV

Hey, I'm Jayla Celine Wayland twin sister of Jace Wayland. I look nearly identical to him except I'm a girl and both my eyes are crystal blue. "Isabelle, Jayla. Let's go" Alec said. I left my room wearing a plain black shirt some leggings and a black jacket. My hair was tied up into a ponytail. I saw Izzy she was wearing a white two piece and had a platinum almost white wig in her hand.

"Hey, there, big bro. Hey Jay" She said "Really?" Alec asked looking at her "What can I say? Demons dig blondes. That's why I'm saying Jay needs to be the distraction." Izzy said looking at me "No way, I hate distracting. Also that's platinum." I said pulling a pair of black finger-less gloves out of my pocket and putting them on. "And they don't like Shakespeare Alec." "You're pretty distracting on your own." Alec said. Izzy sighed "Be yourself. Is that what you're trying to say?" She said "Never mind looking good, let's go" Alec said.

"We're ready Jace," I said "Nice choice Izzy demons dig blondes." He said "It's platinum" Me and Alec said.

"Okay guys, for some reason our demons friends are killing our mundane friends and draining them of blood" Jace said "Why do they want blood?" I asked "Yeah, isn't that vampire territory." Alec said. "There must be something special about their blood." Izzy said "What could be special about mundane blood." I said. "I don't know, but get me a sample and I'll tell you what they are looking for." Izzy said.

I grabbed the seraph blade from Jace and we left the institute.

Jace and I were walking into pandemonium when he bumped into a ginger girl. "Hey can you watch where you're going" She said. We both looked at her "You can see me?" Jace asked "Yeah that's kinda the point but I guess you didn't see me." She said "You have the sight." He said "Jace we have to go," I said. I left him walking into pandemonium. "Where's Jace?" Alec asked me "He's talking a ginger girl who could see him." I said "JACE" Alec yelled.

We were all following the target a girl in a pink dress. We all walked into the room and Izzy got onto the mini stage thing and took off her coat and wig and started dancing. The demons quickly took interest. I was stood close to Alec while Jace was dealing with girl. I always end up being paired with Alec but I'm not complaining.

I saw the girl from earlier she looked at Jace and saw the blade "WATCH OUT!" She yelled pushing the demon out of the way. We are started fighting the demons. "Jay" Jace shouted and I threw him my blade since the girl had his. Jace and Alec killed the last demon and I took the blade out of her hand. And then she ran out

"Hey Alec do you know where Jace is?" I asked He's looking for that girl. Clary Fray." He said. "Okay thanks." I said "She could've gotten Jace killed," I said "I know he's okay though." Alec said.

Jace walked in with a girl in her hands. "She needs an iratze. She got bit by a ravener demon," He said "Okay Izzy get clothes for her. Some for now and later. Jace put her down and I'll draw the rune." I said. Everyone started doing as I said for once. I grabbed my stele and drew a healing rune on the side of her neck. "Clary loves drawing runes." Jace said.

Me, Alec and Jace walked in "The mundane shouldn't even be here." Alec said "I agree," I said "She's not mundane." Jace said "How do you know that?" I asked "Because the seraph blade lit up when she touched it. Look Isabelle can you.." He said and Izzy stood up. "I'm Jace Wayland" Jace said "I'm-" She started "Clary Fray we know who you are." I said "Am I the only one who finds this unusual?" Alec asked "No" I said "You two find everything unusual." Jace said "I have to report this to the clave." Alec said "You know what dial it down a notch." Jace said "My brother doesn't have a dial. I love you Alec but you have a switch that's always on" Izzy said "Love you too. But this—" He started "You know what just give us a minute." Jace said "I'm not leaving," I said "If Jays not leaving I'm not." Alec said "Here's a word you never hear me say. Please" Jace said "Alec I'll be fine it's just Jace and this girl." I said "Walk with me big brother" Izzy said leading him out of the room.

"Your wound it's healed" Jace said touching her shoulder "Yea well, that's what healing runes do. They heal you." I muttered under my breath. I picked up her notebook covered in runes. "Who was that guy. And whose that girl." She asked "I'm Jayla Wayland. Jace's twin sister and that was Alec Izzy's older brother." I said not looking up from her book. Her phone started ringing and she got up and looked out of the window. She picked up Izzy's clothes "You're kidding right," "Isabelle's comfortable with her body." I said. She put it on and started fixing her hair. "How did that get there?" she questioned "I drew that." I said "Wait that's my dress." I said "Can you freak out over the dress later." Jace said "No, I'm gonna kill Izzy. You are giving me that back after today." I said. "Okay listen I know I still don't know everything that's going on here but you do not tattoo my neck. It's creepy" She said "Noted, next time I'll let you die. And it's not a tattoo It's a rune. But I'm guessing you already know about them." I said showing her the notebook "Or maybe you don't and that's what makes you so interesting Clary Fray." Jace said.
