Cyrus POV

It was Monday now. The first day of school that I'm in a relationship with TJ. We agreed on waiting some time before we come out. After all, we have no idea how things are going to be from now on. Together with Andi and Buffy we were on our way to the lockers to get our stuff for the first lesson. We have to pass by TJ's locker so I was lowkey excited to see him, although we had to put up a bit of a show for now. I was discussing the answers for our homework with Andi cause she wasn't sure if she got the answers correctly, but it was a hopeless case. We got stuck on one question in particular and she just wouldn't admit that she's wrong eventhough I proved her wrong. Buffy was just shaking her head. She was not participating in our debate, probably because she saw no need for it or she got a different answer all along. This morning was pretty usual. Until I saw IT.

I saw TJ at his locker talking to a certain person. That certain person was Kira.

"So Kippen you got some time over the weekend, I hope you've changed your mind."

I froze when I heard what she was saying. Since we were slightly around the corner, Kira didn't notice us.

"Wait, THAT is Kira?"

Right, Andi never got to meet her. But I was too concentrated on what I was hearing, so I didn't give her an answer.

"Change my mind? Why should I? You straight-up tricked me to get me further away from Cyrus. Kira, what the frick do you want from me?"

"That's actually pretty simple what I want from you. Just give me a spot on your basketball team. You know how good I am, there is really no argument you could give me to deny that."

We were all shocked. So that was her intention all along. A feeling that I didn't know too well was starting to boil up inside of me. Anger. But I'm not the only one who seems to feel anger. Buffy was about to step forward towards Kira. Kinda understandable. Buffy made it pretty clear that Kira will never get a spot on her team, so she was seducing TJ all along to achieve that goal. How could you not feel angry? However, I could not allow her to interfere just like that so I held her back. In fact, I was the one who had enough, so I walked towards them with bravery that really wasn't like me.

"Kira, I believe TJ made it pretty obvious the first time, that you're not going to play in his team, hasn't he? So I don't think there is much need for any further discussion and I would welcome it if you don't bother him any longer."

By the facial expression of TJ and Kira, I could easily tell they were shocked about what I said, but I couldn't care less about it. I'm not gonna let her do whatever she wants.

"Are you his bodyguard now? I think TJ is big enough to speak for himself. Is he your boyfriend now Kippen?"

And with that my courage was gone. I felt pretty exposed. There was nothing I could say to counter her statement. I was trying to give her an answer but nothing came out of my mouth.

"And what if he was, it wouldn't concern you at all. Cyrus already said it, you're not gonna play in my team. You may have the skill and the talent, but there's something you're missing from inside of you. You don't have the fighting spirit and that's the most important thing for any player. And now go, I wanna get to class on time for at least once."

If this was some sort of anime you'd probably see Kira's aura exploding at this point. Anger and disgust was written all over her face. Buffy and Andi were also on our way here. Kira looked at TJ and me before her gaze shifted to my two friends.

"We'll see about that. This is not over Kippen."

And with that Kira left. I was relieved, that the situation was dissolved. I would've been lost without TJ. I hope he feels somewhat similar when I stepped up for him. Buffy was the first one to say something.

"I can't believe she's going this far."

"Let's hope she's more bark than bite."

Was Andis statement to what just happened. I really wanted to believe that. But somehow I felt that this wasn't the case...

A/N: Sooo this just happened. It was a nice change to finally write something else than cheesy gay stuff. I also enjoy serious and intense moments, so expect more of that kind of stuff to come. Like always don't forget to give me some feedback and rate the chapter thx :v
