thought you ought to know
resting your head
upon the waking dragon
wouldn't seem to be
within line of logic;
yet i watch as you,
with your mind so blank
yet heart so full,
complete that very action.
you place yourself
about that same position
an expansion of times;
too many to count.
so i have stopped,
i am no longer counting,
i am no longer asking,
i am no longer caring.
what you do to me
and/or to them,
is far gone now.
the consideration has left,
much as you did.
i thought this would work.
a friendship completed
all the workings well,
but i can see
that i am now unwanted.
maybe some time before,
in a distant land...
yet talking to you
is now but a stand
of obscured thoughts
and meaningless words.
maybe you did care,
but that was then.
now is now
and now, i am done.
thought you ought to know.
