Upon arriving back to the cave, you explained the situation to your father along with everyone else.

It was difficult, bringing up Jason, but nonetheless, you did what you had to do. You sighed, turning around,

"Now, what was it that you guys needed to tell me?"

Cassandra and Tim stood at the side of the room, leaning on the wall with their arms crossed. Dick smiled weakly, placing himself beside your figure in one of the cold, metal chairs next to the bat computers. The atmosphere grew tense as a pregnant pause filled the air.

Was it something you said?

Before you could further contemplate your thoughts, your father spoke, pulling the bat mask over his face,

"Thank you for the information (Y/N). We just need a moment right now. It is difficult to acknowledge the fact that Jason is back, and back as Red Hood."

You leaned back in your chair, sporting a serious facade although the memories of what happened earlier that night, kept you fighting back a smile. Seeing him again made you feel great, but you knew very well his actions were not good.

Your father turned, walking to the computer and logging onto all systems,

"Although (Y/N) had investigated him both in and out of work, I believe it is in your best interest if you all listen to what I have to say"

The male placed his hands on the edges of his work station, taking a deep breath before looking up at the disturbing images on the screens.

You hastily stood up, Dick trailing behind you along with Cass and Tim. He glanced at you wearily, noting the confused and pained expressions your face had fought the urge to display. In shock, you all looked at the screens, catching sight of Red Hood killing and shooting mindless criminals. You shook your head in disbelief, locking eyes with your father in a desperate search for answers,

"He turns to murder as the only option. Most of the individuals he kills happened to be criminals, but, anyone who deceives him is also on his death list."

Looking down at the dried concrete on the ground, you took a second to think, taking every single moment you had witnessed Red Hood in action and adding it up.

So this is what made him different compared to his past self.

Dick walked over, wrapping an arm around you an in attempt to calm your frantic heart before whispering,

"We didn't want to tell you, but you had to know. Cass and Tim caught these recordings while on patrol. He's been involved in so many crimes. We need to stop him."

You tilted your head, resisting the urge to point and argue about how it's not him. But it is. In all of those recordings,

it was him doing the impossible.

Bringing your hands up, you massaged your temples. You had been involved in investigating who red hood was, you forgot to acknowledge the fact that he was committing serious crimes. Crimes that went against your morals. You smiled sadly at your older brother, catching the sorrowful expression that lingered in his eccentric blue eyes. Walking over to your father, you held your chin up high with the response you would input,

"I understand. Since the very first encounter, I acknowledged his crimes, and as much as I don't want to know, I'll still continue to do so.", Everyone turned to face you, waiting for you to finish,

"But, I need to stay in contact with him. I have a chance, a chance to help him again."

Tim spoke, training his attention on you,

"Even after what he's done?"

You swallowed thickly, feeling slightly ashamed for what you would say. It felt as if the family was going to turn against you,

"Well, yes. Even after what Jason's done, at this point, I'm the only one he has left. I just can't leave him."

Although it was clear which decision you should make, everyone, even Alfred, understood why you were choosing the alternative. Bruce kept a plain expression, his creasing frown only hinting at his emotion. This decision, of course, saddened him. He convinced himself you just needed time, time to accustom to the fact that Jason, wasn't the one you knew anymore. At least in his mind.

"I cannot tell you what to do (Y/N). We will respect your decision no matter what. But, I do prefer it if you stay away from him as much as possible. There is much about him that we still do not know"

You sighed, running a hand through your hair,

"I understand, but I think its best if I stick around. Jason has no one to turn to. Im the only one he has left. If this ends up being a mistake I make and I end up figuring out who he truly is, I'll make sure to learn from my own decisions"

You turned, walking off towards the stairs in the far corner,

"I always do", you murmured to yourself. The rest of the family stood, watching you walk away in the dimming lights of the bat cave.
