Chapter 10

The air was cold and brittle as it hit Elenas face with a shock.

He was gone. 

She gasped and said again. "Stefan?" she turned on her heel and ran to dorm room looking from both sides of her as she steped onto the patio and entered her dorm. The room was dark, there sleeping. 

"Agh" Elena groaned as she avoided walking into their beds or on any items. She lightlty turned on the light and dropped her boots.

"Opps" she said softly. 

"Hello!" Caroline whisper shouted with annoyance and flung her head back and turned on her side in her bed. 

"Sorry" Elena said quielty making her way to her bed and curling in. She placed her phone on her bed side table and began to redo her hair. 

"How was it anyway" Caroline said with her sheet over her face. 

"Horrible!" Elena screamed as soflty as she could and broke into tears. "I just can't... even"

"Elena" Caroline said jumping out of her bed and crawing next to Elenas. "The fuck did Stefan do to you? Did he hurt you? Oh my gosh he is gonna pay" Caroline said raging pumping her fist.

Elena began to laugh "No Stefan was weird, I mean fine. It was just..." She began but the tears were uncontrollable. "I was at the grill with Stefan then... we left... and I got a call... saying Matt was murded..." Elena burst into tears. She was crying more because she knew how it was all her fault and she lying through her teeth.

"Oh my gosh!"  Caroline said covering her mouth as her eyes started to lose their usual sparkle and they looked dark and full of water.. 

"May we talk tomomrow?" Elena said wipping her face and turning to her side to sleep. 

"You can't cut me off like that Elena but we will" Caroline said with a sassy tone as she turned off the bedrooms light and walked into the spare room with her phone. 

She began dialing numbers, calling Matts cell phone in frustation. 

Elena lied back in her bed feeling her tears drip onto her pillow case. 

BEEP.

Elenas phone made a noise. Elena rolled over to face her bedside table as she reached her hand out of her covers and grabbed her phone. The bright light from her phone made her eyes water even more. New text it read. She swipped her phone and opened the message. It read:

Elena dear, what the hell were you thinking? Killing Matt like that and trying to make a move on Stefan? What a slut you are! I know your secret as I watched you kill sweet Matty Blue Eyes. He will be dearly missed. Too bad that the FBI are looking for his murder. Lucky you!  Now, do what I say soon or I will spill. Love you lots you killer bitch. 

Elena gasped and locked her phone out of fear.

What the! Elena thought to herself as she unlocked her phone again and tried to trace who sent it. 

Who the hell is this! She thought as she stared at the message. 

Elena locker her phone and placed it on the table in fear. She cuddled up in her blankets. 

This is going to be a long night. Elena thought to herself as she put the covers over her head.
