Chapter 12

Time skip to after school bc I'm too lazy
Asher's POV:
The school day is finally over! This has definitely been one of the most confusing days of my life. I started walking to my house and I was a few blocks away from home until I heard a familiar voice call out to me. I turned around and saw Annie running after me. I stopped in my tracks to allow her to catch up to me. Once she caught up with me we continued to walk
Annie: hey
Asher: hey
Annie: sorry I couldn't meet up with you sooner, I just thought that if we met up near the school that I'd get caught.
Asher: mhm yeah...
Annie: you seemed to be annoyed
Asher: oh I can't imagine why
Annie: wow I kinda like the sassy side of Asher, he seems fun!
I stopped walking and so did Annie. I turned to her and slightly squinted my eyes
Asher: do you even care?
Annie: what?
Asher: you know, you seem to only have one care in the world
Annie: that is completely false
Asher: oh really?! because you seem to care about your reputation more than anything
Annie: that's not true
Asher: well I'd like to believe that it is. You probably care more about your popularity than your family!
Annie's POV:
Did he just-
Annie: that is the most incorrect statement I've heard all day. You shouldn't even be saying that.
Asher: why? It's not like you'd care because you only care about your "reputation"
I let out a slight laugh because of how immature he was being.
Annie: you...out of all people...have no right to say that I don't care about my family. We've been through a lot together and saying that I don't care about them is just pathetic...I'll tell you who I don't care about though...you...and I never will
I turned around and started walking the way I came taking the longer way home. What makes him think he can just say that! He has no idea what I've been through. As I was walking tears started falling from my eyes and rolling down my cheek. I knew I shouldn't have ever been nice to him. I thought he would have had potential. I thought he wouldn't hurt me, but now I can add him to the list of people who have
Asher's POV:
As I watched Annie walk off I immediately started regretting what I did. Tears started forming in my eyes and I turned around myself. I started walking to my house. As I walked tears fell from my eyes onto my cheek. I messed up, like real bad. There's no coming back from this. I blew it, I blew my only chance with this girl. I don't think I can ever forgive myself for what I've done and I know for a fact that she won't either.
