Chapter 13

Asher's POV:
I walked into my house and immediately ran up to my room. My mom tried to greet my with a hug, but I pushed past her with tear stains on my cheeks and tears still falling. As I entered my room I slammed my door and threw my backpack on the floor. I flopped onto my bed and cried into my pillow. After about 5 minutes of that someone knocked on my door. I wiped my eyes and sat up in my bed.
Asher: who is it?
Avi: it's Avi
Asher: oh...well go away
Avi: can I please come in, I left my laptop in there
Asher: fine
I was hoping that Annie would be at the door, but I knew that was stupid. I should of never gotten my hopes up. Avi opened the door and entered the room
Asher: ok grab your laptop and go
Avi: yeah see...I'm not here for that
Asher: so what are you here for
Avi: I'm here to talk
Asher: about?
Avi: I heard your door slam and I thought I'd check on you
Asher: nice act Avi, but I know mom sent you up here
Avi: your not wrong
Asher: now get out
Avi: I'm not leaving that easily
Asher: fine, what do you wanna know?
Avi: I wanna know why your acting like this?
Asher: ok, so there's this test I had to take today, but I had to learn the format and I took it at the end of the day
Avi: ok
Asher: I studied the format and I thought I knew the whole format, but once I took the test I realized I didn't know the whole entire format and I got mad. This caused me to get a bad grade on the test...I'll never be able to retake it.
Avi: ok? So I'm assuming the test...is a girl?
Asher: wh-what? No
Avi: ok it's definitely a girl
Asher: how did you know?
Avi: why would you cry over a bad grade? You've never done that before
Asher: and I've never cried over a girl either
Avi: yeah because you never talked to them
Asher: I'm about to kick you out of my room in 2.5 seconds
Avi: my bad bro, I'll take it back
Asher: thanks for taking it back, now get out!
Avi: wh-why?
Asher: because I wanna be alone
Avi: but I came here to talk
Asher: well-
Before I could finish my sentence I heard my phone ring in my back pocket. I thought it would be Annie, but it was Jack, not like I wasn't happy, but I wouldn't have been mad if it were Annie either.
Asher: I have Jack to talk to now so get out
I hopped out of my bed and shoved Avi out of the room. I closed the door behind him and accepted Jacks FaceTime call
Jack: hey dude
Asher: hey
Jack: how was your first day of school-wait, let me guess...aaaaaawful
Jack dragged out the "a" making me think he would say amazing, not like it was, but I didn't think he'd find that out on his own.
Asher: huh?
Jack: it was awful
Asher: no it wasn't, why would you think that?
Jack: becaaaauuuuuuseee I wasn't there
Jack and him dragging our letters I swear
Asher: your right
Jack: but seriously that wasn't the reason it was awful
Asher: yes it was
Jack: no dude, you wouldn't cry because of that
Asher: I wasn't crying
Jack: your puffy red eyes say otherwise
Asher: oh...right
Jack: so what happened dude
Asher: so...there was a girl-
Jack: say no more. I'm gonna assume that she's a real bitc-
Asher: no she is not!
Jack: oh...then why are you upset?
Asher: I messed up, big time
Jack: ouch
Asher: yeah
Jack: well make it up to her
Asher: how?
Jack: buy her flowers or chocolates or something
Asher: I can't
Jack: why not?
Asher: because I can't speak with her in public
Jack: and why is that?
Asher: she's popular
Jack: SO SHE IS A BIT-
Asher: JACK DYLAN GRAZER!
Jack: dude chill, I'm just stating facts
Asher: that is not a fact
Jack: ok dude whatever
Jack and I continued talking, but it was nothing important. He took my mind off of Annie for a while. I'm so lucky to have a friend like Jack. He makes everything better, no matter what it is
