Background: Peter Parker is Queens's Favorite Spider, Spider-Man. Of course, no one actually knows that. The Avengers catch wind of his accomplishments and think he could be good to the team. After the constant misunderstandings, it has become an almost daily game of cat and mouse to get ahold of the famed webslinger.
With the faint click of the doorknob locking, the meeting officially began. In the conference room, located in an underground floor of the compound, the Avengers were gathered, or at least most of them. In the room sat Steve Rogers, Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Bruce Banner, and Tony Stark.
Clint could feel the silence becoming uncomfortable. Taking a few quick glances at everyone around the room, he got to the point.
"So what did you call us down here for again?"Tony threw a quick annoyed look at Barton, as if he was just going to get started before Clint spoke.
"Well I'm glad you asked Katniss."He quickly pulled up a holographic interface, the blue of the program casting a faint glow around the room. Eventually, he found the folder he was looking for and placed it up on the main screen.
"Just the other day, I was watching the news, yeah, weird, I know, and I couldn't help but notice that they were going on about some spider person. So me being me, I decided to do a little bit of research."
He began moving some things out of the folder so the team could look at the footage he had collected. The screen filled up with layers upon layers of video of a vigilante in red and blue spandex swinging across the screen.
The team looked amazed at the hero's work. Watching as he webbed up criminals and lifted extremely heavy objects. He rescued people from fires, stopped some robbers, and the occasional super villain.
"Impressive." Bruce had managed to say what most people in the room were thinking.
Tony gave his classic smirk in response to Banner's words.
"Yeah, I know right? Anyways, Cap and I were thinking of perhaps adding him to the team. From what we see here, he could be of good use to us."It was at this point that Rogers decided to offer some information that he had learned from helping Tony find out more about this person.
"He goes by Spider-Man and seems to be based in Queens. The public seems to think he's about in his 20s or so. He's around the young side, but we could use a fresh set of eyes around here."Tony tapped on some footage that showcased Spider-Man swinging around the city before quickly adding some input.
"It seems as if he can climb walls, shoot a webbing of sorts, which I may add is extremely tough, seriously the tensile strength of the stuff is off the charts, and he can lift many times his own weight. We don't know if it's the suit or him, and we don't know if that's all he can do."Sam decided to chime in, essentially speaking for the rest of the group.
"So what's stopping you from asking him?"Steve then had an exasperated look on his face, releasing a sigh he held in, before looking back up at the team.
"Aside from this information, there's literally nothing else we can find on him. He's elusive and extremely hard to track down."A serious expression then appeared across his features, his eyes having a stern attitude to them.
"While we know he's doing good, there's nothing stopping him from flipping his agenda. He could potentially be extremely dangerous if he decides to turn to the other side, so we need to convince him to join us."
