Epilogue

Morning Star runs into the path and almost ends up in the pool. "StarClan says to speak to them, so that is what I must do." She laps up some water and falls asleep.

When she awakes, she is welcomed by a tortoiseshell she-cat with amber eyes. "Greetings, Morning Star." the cat calls. 

"Hello, Spottedstar. Why have you called for me?" 

"I need you to take a message to the Clans. 'Before the moon is up, the Clans will die. Unless, the Shade, and Willow survive.' Now off you go." 

"Of course." Morning Star wakes up by the Moonpool. "FireClan, and DawnClan are in trouble."

"And, you will never get to them." A black cat jumps out in front of the white she-cat.

"Night Dusk. Why are you here?"

"To kill you, of course. It is the mission that DarkClan has given me. And, you know that I never fail my Clan."

"You will this time." Spottedstar appears next to her messenger.

"Now, Spots, you know that I am never alone." A white she-cat with black paws appears next to the DarkClan warrior along with a brown tom. 

"Morning Star, when I give you the signal jump on the she-cat and get to the Clans. They need you." Spottedstar summons more of her Clan and they attack the rebels.

"Spottedstar, promise me that you, Fangheart, and Dawn Flight will be safe." Morning Star jumps on the white she-cat.

"We will never die." Dawn Flight throws the brown tom into the pool. 

"Oh, that is where you are wrong." Night Dusk jumps on top of Fangheart. "Say your goodbyes." He cracks his spine.

"No. Brother!" Morning Star throws herself onto Night Dusk.

"Morning Star! What did I tell you?" Spottedstar crushes the she-cat.

"I'll go, after I avenge my brothers death. He already died once. Now I will never see him again. I'll make sure that his murder never gets to tell the tell." Morning Star grips Night Dusk's throat with her jaws and kills him. 

"No. Retreat!" the she-cat calls to her allies.

After the DarkClan warriors go, Morning Star jumps down to her brothers body. "You lived a long life. You did not deserve to die in vain like you did. Good bye." 

"Daughter, you must go now." Spottedstar whispers into her ear. 

"Of course, Spottedstar. I love you." Morning Star jumps up and runs out of the Moonpool clearing. She looks back once, to see her mother and father burying her brother before going back to StarClan. "Goodbye forever, my dear brother. I will make sure that no cat will ever forget you."
