i woke up with a headache.
"ow. where am i?" i asked, my eyes still adjusting. chase looked at me and so did payton. i was in the hospital. what the fuck happened.
"nurse! she's awake." i heard someone say. it was jaden. i looked around and so many more people were in the room. they all looked at me worried.
"what the hell happened?" i asked
"uh. you hit your head." payton said biting his nails. i furrowed my eyebrows. my head was pounding. i wanted to cry. the nurse came in with an ice pack.
"you doing okay, jasmine?" the nurse asked
"my head hurts real bad."
"here's an ice pack, love."
i put the ice pack on my head and lied back down. the nurse left and a doctor came in.
"hello, miss rodriguez. i'm going to ask you some questions okay?" he said pulling out a clipboard. i nodded and sat back up.
"do you remember anything that happened before the incident?"
"i remember going on a walk and heading out. then bam! i woke up here."
"do you remember getting hit in the head?"
"somewhat. not really."
he asked me more questions then i was able to go home.

chase and everyone were quiet.
"i know you threw the rock, pay. i just didn't say anything because you're my best friend." i said looking out the window.
"i'm sorry." he said quietly. i looked at him and mouthed 'it's okay'. chase dropped me off and i waved by to them.
"jasmine wait!" payton ran over to me and hugged me.
"bro, i'm so sorry. i was just upset about the windshield thing." he said
"no, i'm sorry. i kinda deserved it. but i see you got it fixed." i said looking at the car.
"i love you, jazz. i'm also sorry about chase. you deserve better." i pecked him on the cheek and went inside.
"where the hell were you?" my mom said
"i was in the hospital."
"what?! and they didn't call me."
"they left you a voicemail, mom." i said calmly. i looked at her, she was stressed.
"well are you okay?" she asked
"yep." i nodded and went upstairs. i laid down in the bed and started to cry quietly. i wanted to die. my boyfriend cheated on me and he didn't even say sorry. i got hit in the head by my best friend. i wanted to be alone.

i woke up around 7pm to my mom yelling at someone. i got out of bed and went to the top of the stairs to listen.
"no! i don't care what you have to say. leave!" my mom yelled
"please. i just want to see her, rachel!"
i looked to see who it was, it was my dad.
"dad?" i said walking down the stairs
"pumpkin!" he said hugging me
"why are you here?"
"i came to see you before i left."
"you're leaving? where?"
"i'm leaving to go back to colorado."
"oh." i was kinda sad but angry at him. but i eventually got over it. we all went out to dinner and i had a great time. i looked down at my phone and saw that i had a text from chase. yes my mom gave me back my phone. i ignored it and went back to talking to my dad.

we all got home around 10:30pm. i said goodbye to my dad and cried a little. he did the same. after everything, i went upstairs and saw that chase was on my bed.
"what the fuck?" i whisper yelled
"we need to talk."
"about what?"
"everything! obviously, jasmine!"
i sat down next to him and he put his hand on top of mine.
"i'm sorry." he said lightly
"you say sorry a lot but you never mean it." i said removing my hand.
"i know. but i'm sorry this time."
"prove it."
"i will." he winked. i rolled my eyes at him and then he went home. the party was coming up and i was kinda nervous. i already knew what i was going to wear. i was going to wear a cropped thrasher shirt with orange flame pants.

a couple more days went by and i went back to school. i went outside and saw that chases car was right there.
"what are you doing here?" i asked
"i came to pick you up, weirdo."
"whatever." i sighed and hopped into the passenger seat. the boys weren't in the back.
"where is everyone."
"i told them that i wanted to hangout with you." he explained. i chuckled and looked at him. i'm kinda falling in love with this boy. even though we hurt each other, we always came back to each other.
"you ready for the party tomorrow?" he asked breaking the silence.
"nervous. but i'll be okay." i hesitated
"jasmine?"
"yes?"
"are we broken up or what?" he asked
"i don't know, chase. it's complicated."
he nodded and we pulled into the parking lot of the school. we walked next to each until his friends pulled him away. i walked to class alone. math started and we did a worksheet. english was boring since payton wasn't here. then lunch started.
"welcome back, party animal." jaden said
"ew, don't say that." i laughed
i sat down next to chase and drayke. lunch was pretty boring as well.

school ended and i walked to chases car where all the boys surrounded each other. we talked about the party and what was going to happen. i was going to go with chase, payton, and jaden. after the party conversation, chase dropped me off.
"thank you for everything, chase." i said
"anytime, beautiful." he smiled and i smiled back. i went inside and did my after school routine then went to bed. i lied awake for a while because i was kinda nervous about the party because of what happened last time. i went to bed eventually and woke up to my alarm. it was 5:45. i rolled out of bed and did my morning routine. i then waited for chase as usual. he pulled up with the boys and i jumped in.
"hey, jazz." payton said
"hey, pay." i waved at him
"so. what's going on with you two?" jaden asked. chase and i looked at each other.
"it's complicated y'know?" i said
"we aren't exactly dating but we haven't exactly broken up." chase explained. we all nodded and pulled into the parking lot.

school finally ended and i walked up to the boys who were all talking in the parking lot.
"okay so i'm going to pick you up after i pick up pay and jaden, jazz." chase said and i nodded. we entered chases car and he dropped me off.
"see you at 7:30." chase said and waved. i waved back and entered my house. i ran upstairs and took a shower. i wanted to look cute as possible. i curled my hair and threw on the cropped thrasher shirt with the orange/flame pants. i waited for chase. it was 7:28pm. i scrolled through instagram when i heard his car pull up. i jumped in and chase looked so hot. i just wanted to kiss him right there, in front of everyone. but i couldn't. we pulled into elmo's driveway and i was kinda nervous. we all got out and headed inside. there weren't many people there because it just started.
"yo, wassup?" elmo said
"wassup!" we all said. chase and i danced for a little then went to go get drinks.
"i'm sorry about everything." chase said
"thank you." i looked at him
"i want to make things better."
"me too, chase." i walked away from him and went to the couch. i sat down for a little until someone smashed their lips against mine...
