Chapter 17

Deku

Todoroki-that names too long, I'll ask if I can call him Shocchan later-was in a funny daze this morning. I wasn't even sure if he was human when he was getting ready, his face was...more blank than usual, if that's even possible. He kinda glared at me yesterday when it was announced that I had silent voice and his familiar didn't seen to get along well with him. I asked him a couple questions when we were in class this morning and he said that he'll explain in debt later, for now, he wants to know about my ability.

After the brief explanation, we had left for the bus with Iida telling us to pair up, only for the bus to end up with sideways seats.

A/n I am wayyyy to lazy to keep up the ~chan and ~sensei because I have an annoying af keyboard meaning I have to shift the whole screen twice to get the ~. Iida~chan is gonna be Iida and Aizawa~sensei is gonna be Aizawa and etc. If there nicknames have chan in them like Shocchan then I'll leave it. The symbol is just a pain.

I linked Halfy (my nickname for him) with Explo and Zero and Engi as they were all around me and he was having the time of his life going on and on about finally being able to talk. I blocked my link to them and left them to talk because they were gossiping about familiar trends. Of course the first official thing familiars do when they talk for the first time is gossip about trends... I can't blame them really, the first thing that Denki asked me was what my favorite meme was... I have never heard of them in my life... I didn't have a phone either because I never needed one. Mum had one but apparently for emergencies only and it hung on the wall with a really springy curly string thing. Kacchan said he'll get me one that matches his own one later so we're going shopping this Saturday.

My happy thoughts were cut as the bus stopped. I opened the connection between the familiars and I again and I told them that they should return to their partners. After all, they were going to be synced through strength today. Halfy can with me and I stood around for a couple of seconds before I saw a tent forming and springing up.

I looked over the cliff I was on and saw that Thirteen was giving a lecture and Aizawa was already in his yellow cacoon scooting towards the tent. I listened into the lecture for a bit before all my classmates dispersed and began training. Kacchan and Shocchan were preparing to fight and I stood at the top of the cliff watching them both.

Kacchan was clearly losing because although he has an 80% fc, his body needs to be 90% his full potential to get a higher fc. Shocchan was just stronger physically so he won with technique.

They were about to prepare for round two when Aizawa's voice rang through the massive dome of a training ground.

"Keep calm everyone but there are villans in the center of the USJ. Avoid fights if possible but the use of a familiar is now permitted. This is not a drill, please make your way to the exit, Thirteen is there for your safety."

Kacchan and Shocchan both had a concerned look on their face. Kacchan jumped up to me and held my hand while Shocchan made his way towards the centre of the dome. That's where the villans are!

"Kacchan! Shocchan is going tithe villans! We need to help him!"

Kacchan looked exasperated at me before sighing.

"One, Shocchan? Really? And two, fuck it, let's help that half and half bastard."

I smiled at Kacchan as he climbed onto Explosion and I climbed on Halfy. He hasn't left my side but was clearly agitated from being away from his partner.

"Are you okay Halfy?" I silently asked.

"Although I'm use to being away from my partner, it's more that I'm worried that he will get hurt and I couldn't be there to help him. I beg you to help us Deku, my partner has been cold for so many years that it's affecting our sync. He can't get past 60% because he refuses to acknowledge me as his. In his mind, he keeps referring to me as 'the familiar' and its tearing me apart. I know that he wants someone to help him but he's blocked me out so I can't be there for him. Please Deku.
Help us."

I nodded as we swooped down towards the center platform. I've never seen villan's before. From fairy tales, they are scary people covered in cuts and wounds. They're dressed in black suits and carry canes, with minions that do their bidding.
Or they are crazy looking with maybe a super weird lab that's hidden away from the world.

I snapped out of my imagination as I reached the centre. There was no villan,
