Chapter 20

Deku

I was sitting by myself like Tomo had told me to and I was getting bored when the class were suddenly all there. Everyone was smiling and chatting to themselves and I think Aizawa told them that there were no villains so they were all relaxed now. Coco came up to me and gave me a hug before asking,

"Hey Izu, wanna play a game while we wait for your friend?"

I gladly agreed since I was bored and the whole class gathered in a circle around the inside of the tent whilst the teachers stood by outside. I think they didn't want to join in with a childish game so they're just sitting it out.

Mina suggested a truth or dare game that I've never heard of before but Kacchan who sat next to me quickly explained and I felt a little silly for not realizing the name of the game literally explains what it is. I agreed and Mina cheered making me smile because she's so bubbly. The rest of the class smiled too, I think it's great that everyone likes everyone.

Mina- "soooo Izu, truth or dare?"
"Ummm truth please?"
Mina- "I wanna know who you think should hook up!!!"

Kacchan glared at Mina making her awkwardly laugh and scratch the back of her neck. I was a little confused.

"Hook up? Mina, what does hook up mean?"

Mina- "Oh nuuuu! What have I done.... Ummmm oh sugar honey ice teaaaa, you know what, my question is, who do you think have a sibling like relationship in this class?"

"A sibling relationship? Let me think..."

I was an only child so I don't know what a sibling is like. I'm guessing it might be something like with Kacchan and I but Kacchan said he didn't want to be my brother when we were little. I'm pretty sure siblings nag at each other all the time but also have each other's back when they need to. I've seen Coco and Kacchan scowl at each other before but I'm also sure that they'll reluctantly help each other too... Oh, Shocchan and Momo both already seem close, I'll ask them that.

"I got two, Coco and Kacchan as siblings along with Momo and Shocchan"

Todoroki coughed on air and glanced at Momo as she gave a awkward smile.

Momo- "Actually, you could argue we did act like troublesome siblings. You see, Shocchan, as you refer to him, and I are childhood friends from when his father had a business partnership with my family's company. We actually use to sneak out after his practice and whilst his dad was busy with paperwork, we would steal Endeavor's credit card and binge spend it on sweets and other stuff until past midnight"

Momo said it with such a straight face that I started laughing, the idea made me laugh so hard.

"That's amazing Momo. If my instincts are right, Coco and Kacchan will have a similar relationship"

I turned my head to Kacchan and he glared at Coco.

Kacchan- "Me and round face here aren't getting along. I see no way we can agree on anything. I'll blast her into next week if she gets any ideas."

Kacchan's familiar then growled at her letting a few sparks fly. We didn't notice that one spark caught the edge of the tent though, and before we knew what was going on, the tent was on fire.

I started to panic because I've never seen a fire that large. What's going on? There's so much smoke! Half of 1-A was panicking and the other half were running out. I curled up into a ball for comfort and started whimpering. I don't know why but this fire feels like... A bad memory...

(flashback)

A four year old Deku

Kacchan and I were playing in the woods again and we were going to our favorite sycamore tree. We held hands as he helped me by pushing branches out of my way and leading the way. I knew the way better than him but he always insisted that he took the lead, I think he just liked feeling in charge.
