Together, they've lived in the mountains for a year now under the familiar's protection and the day was almost like any other.
Hisashi went out and hunted in the forest like he did every other morning and would come back with wild game about 5 hours later.
Inko instead travelled down the mountain to the village and would be their local herbologist. She helps with both familiars and humans.
During this year, she made a friend called Mitsuki and the two would gossip a lot. Mitsuki mostly talked about the shy boy she likes and Inko giggled as she pushed her friend right into her crush, Masaru.
Today was different then usual because, it was Mitsuki's wedding and she was ready to party.
The wedding ceremony was at the edge of the forest within the familiar's bubble of protection where the afternoon sun shone bright and the wild scent of the leaves danced around.
The bride was in a beautiful dress of snow white as she walked down the isle with a confident grin.
She flashed a wide smile to her friend who stood at the front in a floral green dress who was her bridesmaid.
Inko smiled and waved to her and the prayers began. The bride and groom kissed and cheers rang out. Birds sang and happiness rang around. Cake was eaten, games were done and a band came along and started to play.
They all danced around in the open field, music ringing out from the players by the side.
Inko twirled from partner to partner, eyes closed and mouth smiling brightly as the afternoon slipped by.
She giggled and danced and changed partners and the dance started again and again. She was starting to tire out when her partner was Masaru, the groom, and new found vigor was found as the music started again. She danced and spun and misplaced a step and she bumped into someone.
Turning around, she saw that Mitsuki and her had reached the centre and her partner happened to be Hisashi.
The two girls looked at each other and laughed at the coincidence as the music came to a stop. They switched partners and slow music started as evening streaks of pink and yellow appeared in the sky.
The two pair spun in the sunset light and near the end of the song, the bride and groom kissed tenderly and cheers rang wide.
Inko watched happily from the sides in the arms of her lover wondering if a day like this would come to her and she sighed softly as she leaned into Hisashi.
She looked into his eyes and smiled and he smiled gently back as he spun her one final time,

before getting on to one knee.Mitsuki's scream was the loudest thing ever as she jumped with joy shaking her now-husband around, squealing as she saw what was before her.
Her best friend crying with happiness as she held her hand out for a ring to be slipped on.
Hisashi then gave her the other ring a d with shaking hands, Inko slipped his ring onto his finger.
The two now both had tears streaming down their faces and were smiling like no other.
They wiped each other's tears away and Hisashi stood up again, and the now engaged couple kissed happily while the cheering burst everywhere.
"LET'S HAVE A DOUBLE WEDDING INKO!!!!!" screamed Mitsuki as she hopped with happiness.
Inko smiled back and nodded, as she held Hisashi's hand tightly.
The birds sang and the bubble of protection shone pink and purple. Wild animals came from within the trees carrying all bits and bobs and Inko was surrounded in a flurry of light.
The animals disappeared and the light faded.
And Inko stood there in a bejewelled forest green dress.
The wedding dragged deep into the night and happiness spread far and wide.
Inko and Hisashi fed each other cake laughing while Mitsuki tried shoving a whole slice into Masaru's mouth. The sky was a beautiful shade of navy blue and black and the last shades of pinky purple lingered in the distance.
Mitsuki hugged Inko one last time with a slight drunken slur in her speech as the tipsy lady was swept off her feet by Masaru and carried away.
Inko watched as the married couple dissapeared and she squealed as her own feet were swept off the ground.
She wrapped her arms around Hisashi's neck and hugged him close. This was what she had always wanted, to be married to her lover.
The two made their way towards their home in the everglade but on the way, Hisashi took a different route than usual. He went towards the cliff with the single cherry tree.
The stars had come out now and the navy black sky only had a tint of purple but that only made the full moon shone brighter than ever.
Setting his wife on the soft cool grass, Hisashi ran to a nearby tree and pulled something out. He hid it behind his back and he ran back to Inko.
Hisashi told Inko to close her eyes and she did willingly and patiently waited.
Hisashi brought out a bouquet of roses, lilies and little blossoms from behind him that shone happily.
He got down to one knee again and the wind blew gently as Inko opened her eyes.
She looked at Hisashi and no words were needed as she silently took the bouquet and held them close to her.
Smiling, the two kissed again tenderly and when they opened their eyes, they saw the stars shoot across the sky.
Laughing, Hisashi told Inko to make a wish but she only laughed back and said that all her wishes had already come true. She didn't need anything else because her world was her already.
Hisashi smiled wider and said that the reason told her to make a wish because he was already holding his entire world in his arms.
Inko, inside Hisashi's arms, blushed before leaning back into her husband.
They were truly happy.
