Her Secret (Nalu fanfiction) (Completed)

What in the world is she?!

"Luce!!" I cried as I ran up to her for a hug. She was wearing her regular clothes, a short white tank-top, a navy skirt which carried her keys and wipes, and black boots. Her hair was tied up in her side-ponytail as always. I rested my head on her shoulder, while we fell to the floor, and sobbed for a little bit. She just held me and told me she was back.

"Where did you go? -sob- Why did -sob- you leave? You aren't ever -sob- doing that again, right? I won't let you! -sob- What did you do? -sob- Why di-"

"Natsu," she interrupted, "I'm back and I'm not going to do that again, I promise. Now be quiet and hug me." This was Lucy, that's for sure. She was her normal bossy self. Always telling me what to do and when to do it. I missed it.

"I missed you, Lucy."

"I missed you too." she whispered into my ear. I broke the hug to hold her at arm's length and look at her. She was still as beautiful as the day she left. Then I noticed something on her left cheek. A vague scar.

"What happened? How did you get that scar?" I asked worriedly and angrily, hovering my thumb over it.

Luce touched her scar with a sad face, and said," It's one of the reasons why I left…"  We fell silent for a moment.

"Well? Are you going to tell me what happened and who did this to you?"
*So I can beat them to a pulp* I finished inside my head. Another moment of silence.

She put a guard on her face and said, "Not here and not right now. How about tonight at the campsite? I'll take us there." I thought about the offer for a moment and finally agreed, after making her promise, not to ditch, or make excuses. We headed back to the guildhall and everyone tackled her with a huge group hug! I got kinda jealous and I think she could tell. We celebrated her return and had a party!

That night we met up at the edge of the forest and walked for a few minutes.

"Luce~," I complained impatiently, "I thought you said you were going to take us up there."

"I will," she replied coldly, "we just had to get out of sight of the town. Now that we are, get on my back." I stopped and looked at her.

"Why?" She looked at me with a sly smile pulled across her face, "Well, get on my back and see." I was fearful but I did what she said and hopped on her back.

"Now what?"

"Hold on tight!" She told me as wings popped out of her back and lifted us off the ground and out of the trees.

"Wait! What?! You can control this transformation thing, now?!!" I asked surprised and amazed.

"Yep!" She said as she threw me into the air.

"You know you threw me into the air when you were transformed. Why?"

She flew where we were face-to-face for a moment and said, "My subconscious getting revenge for all the times you've broken into my apartment. " I started to fall but she caught me in her arms before I got close to the trees.

"I knew it!" I said as she put me on her back again.

"You might wanna hold on. I'm gonna speed up so I have time to tell you everything that has happened in this week and a half." I quickly tightened my grip her and she sped up.
