Chapter 13

Clary's POV

When i finally found the room i put my stuff in, i layed on the bed thinking about my life. I had never opened up to anyone like that. I had never said anything like i had said to Izzy a few moments ago. I always just shut people out of my life. But i knew that what i did was a mistake, telling them. Saying what i said to Izzy, iknew it was all a big mistake.

The only good about all this is that i did'nt tell them who did this to me. I knew that i was close to saying ' my father ' to Isabelle when i saying my ' speech ', but hopefully she didn't notice.

I know that i should open up more to actually trust them, but all i want to do is just avoid them. Because if i shut them out then i can have one less thing to worry about. If i shut them out, it would most likely mean that Valentine will never find. But i know now that they will never give up

I sighed

Why can't life be easy, i thought

Simon's POV

When Maia and Izzy came back inti the room. Everyone one was silent. I decided toto break the silence by saying

" Where's Clary? "

" She went to her room " Maia said

" She said she was tired " Izzy said

Everyone looked at her. We all new that Izzy was upset about this, you could tell by sound of her voice.

" Guys we have to help Clary " Izzy said

" We know that Iz " Alec said trying to comfort his sister " But she won't let us "

" Don't you think i know that " she said " When we were bathroomshe was giving me this speech saying that not everyone in world can be saved and that some people have to suffer, and she's one of them. She also said to me that everyhing started when she was ten years old. She's was being abused when she was ten years and you expect me to do nothing " she got cut of with her crying.

Alec rushed to comfort his sister.

" Wait " Jace said " Izzy your saying that this has been happening since she she was ten years old "

She nodded

" What kind of sick bastard does that to a child " he said. You could tell that he was really pissed.

Also, i think he has feelings for Clary, i can tell by the way he acts around her. To be honest, i think that everyone in the whole school knows.

" Apparently the guy that did this to her " Jordan said

" Hey " Magnus said " She has to have a mum right, lets try and contact her "

" I don't know Magnus " Maia said " She has never mentioned her mum before, and I don't think that we should trust her father either. I mean what kind of person hasn't noticed something like that "

" Maia is right " I said " and we still have to think about that thing that Magnus said about a guy called Valentine "

" Yeah let's just try and ask Clary about her mother first " Alec said " We don't want to jump to conclusions "

" Yeah " i said. " Lets all go to bed "

All I heard was a rounds

"Yeah " and " Great idea "

When we went our separate ways, all I could think about was Clary. How her life was ruined when she was ten years old.

I just wanted to help her.
