Best friends of the past

I wake up in a room, white room. I sit up and a nurse comes in. She gives me a bag incase I vomit and then goes. I am about to go and follow her cause there is absaloutly nothing to do in this room when all of my friends come in. Everyone (including the boys) has puffy red eyes. Wendy comes over and gives me a hug. 

"We thought you were gone. You've been unconcious for four days now," she explains. She gets up and one by one, everyone gets a turn to hug or talk to me. Eric cries into my shoulder and repeatedly apologizes on Meody's behalf. Tarzan, Eugene and Adam pat my head gently and compliment me on my bravery. All the girls give me a hug. Peter gives me my school work I missed.

After everyone is finished, I ask

"So who were the others with Melody and Jim?"

"The african couple was Mowgli Man and Shanti Village. They are in Grade 9. The indian couple was Aladdin Rat and Jasmine Agrabah, who are in Grade 12. The one with the knife was Tadashi Hamada, Grade 10, and his brother Hiro Hamada, Grade 8," Milo explains. I nod.

"And what happened with you and Melody, Taran?" I ask, still puzzled from the fight. All is silent. Everyone leaves except Eilonwy and Taran, who stay. And then Taran begins to speak.

~Taran's flashback~ 

There is a girl in the sandpit all by herself. She has black hair. I walk over to her.

"Hi, I'm Taran. What's your name?" I ask.

"Melody. Do you want to play with me?" She asks. I nod. We play and then say goodbye when it is time to go home.

~9 years later~

Melody and I are best friends. We are like family. I have been to her house many times and she has been to my house many times. Today, I am going to ask her to be my girlfriend. 

"Hey Melody, can I talk to you alone?" I ask, scared that she is going to refuse.

"Sure Taran," she answers, excitedly. We go to a bench where there are not a lot of kids and sit.

"Melody Sea, you and I have been best friends since preschool. I have comed to liking you but even though I don't know if you feel the same way, I want to ask you something," I take a deep breath," Will you be my girlfriend?" I wait for a lecture about 'not being ready' but instead am evolved in a hug.

"Yes, I will be your girlfriend, Taran Sword," Melody says and we kiss.

~1 year later~

Melody and I are still together. We have been on a lot of dates and I love her to bits. Anyway, today there was a new girl. Her name is Eilonwy Gold. She has blonde hair and is very smart. Melody asks her if she wants to sit with us and she agrees she does. Her and Melody are becoming fast friends. I think it is good Melody makes more friends besides me because she can't always be with me (though sometimes I wish). 

~5 days later~

Eilonwy asks to talk to me alone today. I follow her to the library and she talks to me.

"Taran, even though you have Melody, I have a crush on you," she squeeks, nervously. To be honest, I myself have developed a crush on her so at least she feels the same way. I tell her this and she smiles. I then lean forward and we kiss. Even though I am techniqually cheating on Melody, I don't care.

~2 weeks later~

Eilonwy and I have been secretly together for some time now. No one nows, not even Melody. Well, that all changed today. When I came to the canteen to meet Melody, she pushes me against the wall.

"You liar! You cheated on me with my best friend! How could you?" She screams so just about everyone can hear. "We are done! Done you hear!" She slaps me then walks off. Eilonwy immediatly comes to my side and takes me to the infirmary just to be sure I'm alright. And I am (no suprise there). 

~2 weeks later~

Melody has a new boyfriend. Jim Hawkins. I always used to see him looking at Melody when we were together. And since they have been together, Melody has changed. She is now one of the main bullies alongside Jim. Eilonwy and I have made friends. Their names are Tinkerbell Fairy, Alice Wonder, Wendy Darling and Peter Neverland. They are very nice and friendly. They all know about me and Melody but don't bring it up.

~End of flashback~

I gasp, shocked. Both of them nod.

"I am so, so sorry," I say, absaloutly astonished.

"It's okay. You should know anyway," Taran responds, shrugging. Eilonwy speaks up.

"Emily, we need your help to make things right between Taran and Melody. And we also need to bring back the old Melody. Will you help us?" She asks.

"Of coarse I will," I say, determinly. Both of them brighten up. They take me outside to the others and we have a sleepover at Belle's dorm. All of us. Even the boys. It takes my mind off the Melody situation and I have a great time. As I go to sleep, I wonder if I will be able to do the task Eilonwy asked me to do.
