Friends

I just came back from maths. Melody was drooling over a guy the entire time with brown hair and one peirced ear, of whom I assumed was Jim. I got my lunch and walked to Wendy and her friends. However, I would have got there in one piece if it weren't for a leg. I tripped and landed on my knees. My lunch (2 breadrolls and a carton of juice) somehow stayed on my tray as I picked myself up. I would have continued to walk when a large hand grabbed my arm and turned me around. I was now facing the Jim guy.

"That was an invatation to start bowing to us popular kids, nerd," he yells, quite obviously annoyed.

"Well I'm not the bowing type of person. So if you will excuse me," I say, intending to continue to the others. However, Jim didn't let go of my arm.

"Bow to me. Now!" He shouts.

"No. And that's final. Now unhand me or you could be fined for sexual harassment," I smirk, ripping my arm out of his grasp and walking away. Jim does not attempt to interact with me again. I sit with Wendy. She is accompanied by three girls and two boys. All of the girls are blonde and both boys have red hair. I sit next to Wendy.

"This is Emily, everyone. Emily, this is Alice Wonder, Tinkerbell Fairy, (picture above) Eilonwy Gold, her boyfriend Taran Sword and Peter Neverland," she says, pointing to each of her friends while she says their name. "Hi," everyone says at the same time. I wave. 

"So I hear your single," Alice says with a mouthful of spaghetti.

"Alice! Don't speak when you have something in your mouth full," Wendy playfully scolds. Alice finishes her mouthful and groans, rolling her eyes. 

"Yes mum." I chuckle. 

"Yes I am," I reply.

"Me and Tink are too. Welcome to the singles club," she says, sticking her hand out. I shake it and start eating my rolls.

"Ever had a boyfriend?" Peter asks. I shake my head.

"First kiss?" Taran asks. Again, I shake my head. 

"Wow, you really are single," Eilonwy says, amazed. I nod. I've never really liked  the idea of being in a relationship, never liked the idea of having a guy as my friend (though I respect them) and all the ones I know that are single are complete jerks.

"I used to have a boyfriend, it was Peter," Tink, who hasn't spoken in a while, says. I almost choke on my drink.

"Excuse me?" I ask, quite dumbfounded.

"I know it's hard to believe but yeah. Me and Peter;"she points to Wendy's boyfriend;" used to be together. We never kissed as in lips but Wendy came and she was new so I introduced her to Peter. I could tell he was falling for her but didn't have the courage to do such a thing so I let him go," she happily sighs, looking at the two of them flirting. I find the sight quite disgusting but am happy that Tink did such a nice thing. The bell goes, we exchange numbers and go on our ways. I can tick friends off that list I made earlier. Next stop, English.
