I read the email and immediately went out of my office, I went to the little area where our coffee machine was placed and immediately picked up a cup. I took the pencil from my pocket and quickly wrote a note at the bottom.

For the last three years I did this, write small confessions to him but he never notices. I make his coffee with a shot of espresso, 5 teaspoons of sugar and a drop of cream, I knock on his door and then he tells me to come in, I give him his coffee and he thanks me.

"Can you organise those files for me, Yoon", he points to the stack of papers on a table nearby.
I do as he says and steal glances at him from time to time, his shirt cladding his arms perfectly, his eyes focused as he works hard and his veiny hands typing on his keyboard turns me on a bit. Hobi takes sips of his coffee making me feel nervous, he always tells me to never put the lid on top so that gives him easy access to see the note. All I had to do is wait.

The sound of the empty cup hitting the table vibrates into my ears, a cold sweat covers my body as I don't look back. Then he just throws the cup into the bin, it always happens.
"Thanks Yoon. I don't know where I'd be without you", he smiles as I leave the room.
I didn't know what to feel anymore.

But at the end of the day, I was the one to blame. I'm too shy to ask him out, I'm too cold to show my love, I'm too prideful to face rejection. Maybe it's just not meant to be, I don't even know if he even likes men. How can I be called your friend when I don't even know your preferences. I should give up but I can't, you mean everything to me. Jung Hoseok means everything to me.

I try to distance myself from you but you always seem to be around the corner, you always check on me just in case I feel lonely, you buy me food when I've been working to long, you always put a blanket on me if I'm sleeping. It must be a sign right?

What am I thinking, I just need to get you off my mind for moment. I turn off the desktop and head to the cafeteria, the elevator door opens introducing the sound of people chattering as I make my way through the people and grab a tray for myself. I slowly shuffle sideways getting the delicious food from the canteen, I ended up picking a salmon ceviche, rice cakes and a cup of orange juice to wash it down.

I stroll around and caught the attention of Jimin as he waves at me to come sit down with him, I head towards his table seeing a girl sitting next to him.
"Who's she", I plop myself down.
"Yoongi meet L/N Y/N, Y/N meet Min Yoongi", Jimin introduces us.
"Hi I'm Jungkook's new secretary", Y/N says.
"I'm Mr. Jung's assistant", I reply.
"How's he treating you", I continue.
"He tried a move on me but I pushed him away and flipped him off when he said to get him a coffee".
"I like you already", I chuckle.
"What's Mr. Jung like", Y/N asks.
"He's a super nice guy, always optimistic, hard working, caring and a down to earth guy".
"Can't wait to meet him", and as if Hoseok heard her, he appeared exiting the elevator.

I looked away from him and kept eating, I was here to forget him for a while but being a guy with reddish hair didn't help, neither did my height. Hoseok sat right next to me and smiled while throwing a arm around me.
"Hi I'm Jung Hoseok, you must be Y/N!", he was as loud as usual.
"I am. I've heard a lot about you Mr. Jung", Y/N replies.
"You can call me Hoseok and who's been talking about me", his mouth permanently stayed smiling.
"Jimin said a few things and Yoongi left a few good words", Y/N answers as I felt my cheeks redden. I don't like her as much now.
"Well that's rare, Yoongi barely compliments people. I'm honoured", Hobi hugs me as I sink my head into neck being shy.
"Are you guys dating by any chance", Y/N questions as I wait for Hobi's response.

"No we're not. Are you interested in anyone", Hobi says as I mentally sigh.
"No, i don't want to date for a while".
"Any reason why".
"Just like keeping to myself and I haven't found anyone I like yet".
"Sorry to interrupt but something just happened, I have to go", Jimin inputs after scrolling through his phone for the last few minutes.
"Go ahead, I'll see you later Minnie", Y/N hugs Jimin then he leaves waving at us.

"I guess I'll go too, need to check some emails i left", I said wanting to leave.
"Can't you wait for me, Yoonie", Hobi pouts and latches onto me.
"You know how hard work can be, might as well start it now before I go home late", I answer.
"You're right, I'll catch you in a bit", Hoseok detaches himself.
"I'll see you then, bye guys", I wave and head to the elevator.

Once the door closed, I relaxed my shoulders and leant on the wall. I was confused and I didn't know what to do, maybe I should take a sick day tomorrow, I can't do shit if I feel disconnected. I need to find myself again.
