The loud buzzing of my alarm clock jolts me awake. I shut it off and look at the time. It's 3:00 AM.
Today is the day I leave for DC. I'm freaking out. Not only am I nervous about missing my parents, but I don't want him to see me grumpy and looking like I just rolled out of bed. Well I actually did roll out of bed, so I can use that as my excuse.
I eat a small breakfast, and then quickly make sure I have everything packed. I get into the car to drive to the school.
I kiss my mom goodbye as she hands me my suitcase.
"I love you. Have fun and be safe!" My mom says, waving goodbye.
"I love you too mom," I say, walking into the school.
Our principal is directing kids to where they are suppose to be. I walk over to where my bus is standing. All of my friends are already there. Daphne runs and hugs me. I know she hates sleep, so no wonder why she is so awake. We walk over to the check in table. Mrs. Stackpole puts a check next to my name and hand me a wristband.
"If you ever get lost or stray away from your group, then call the number on your wristband," she instructs. I nod and walk back to our group.
When it's finally time to board the bus, Daphne and I find a seat in the middle of the bus. All the boys head for the back. I notice he gets a seat in the very back. I would get car sick if I sat back there.
