I didn't win the election, but Daphne did. I hope he's happy for not voting for me.

I'm actually sad that the school year is ending. I never thought I would have liked him this much, and I defiantly didn't plan him to have him on my mind this often. Trying to forget someone you have a crush on is like trying to remember someone you never met. And to think he is going to be on my mind all summer. Sometimes, him just being in class is enough to put a smile on my face.

Every year the school puts on an 8th grade party, so we can have one last event at the school before we are all separated at high school. Daphne and I did one last project being President and Vice President together. Since the theme of the party was Hawaiian, we decided to paint a big picture of a beach with palm trees to be used as a decoration.

When the night of the party finally came, I was really excited. I have to say, my favorite part of the party was the cookies.

At the very end of the party, they gathered everyone on the bleachers to take a group picture. There was no room left in the bleachers, so I sat on the floor. Well I guess he couldn't sit in the bleachers, so he sat right in front of me. My friends all looked at me and started laughing. I could have killed them for making such a big deal about it.

Apparently the school was raffling off gift cards. They started calling off names. I didn't think I was going to win, so I kinda tuned the Principal out.

Good thing Ava was listening because I did win.

"Liz, you won!" She exclaimed.

"I did?!" I said. I stood up and started walking through the crowd.

"You go Lizliz!" I hear him shout behind me.

"Thanks!" I mouth to him. They started playing music, and he sang along, really obnoxiously with it. I couldn't help but laugh.
