George grabbed my hand and pulled me along the sidewalk.
"Don't we need a car, the nearest restaurant is about 3 miles away."
"What did I say?" he asked in a way that reminded me of a mother teaching her child a lesson.
"No questions. Sorry it slipped out."
We started walking down the street and after a few minutes he put his arm around my waist. I tried to hide my smile, as he pulled me closer to him. By the time, he had decided I was close enough and stopped, I already had the biggest grin on my face. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him look at me a few times.
"You know you look stunning," he told me.
"Aw, thanks George, I guess Paul did a good job. I really hoped you would like it."
" I will like anything you wear, as long you are in it." he said completely serious, I blushed almost as pink as a rose.
After he looked at me a few more times and each time I let out a giggle.
"What?" he asked, probably about my constant giggling.
"Nothing. Are we almost there?"
"Yeah we are." I still had no idea where we were going, because there was no restaurant for miles.
We walked a couple more blocks before George turned right into the park entrance.
"We are going on a picnic aren't we?" I asked starting to get really excited.
"No questions." I rolled my eyes at him while he led me through the park.
We came across a blanket set out on an open field of green grass. On the blanket were a couple baskets and some flowers.
"George? Is this ours? Did you do this?"
"Yeah, I hope you like it."
"Like it? It's amazing!" As I said this I gave George a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. He blushed and I gave him another hug.
He led me to the sprawled out blanket and I sat down and admired it all. As I looked around I saw George look at me, probably for a reaction.
"This is amazing," I said in awe, " and beautiful."
"But still not as beautiful as you." I heard George murmur and giggled a bit more. "wait did you hear that?"
"Yeah, and it was very sweet." I replied to make him ease up a bit and worry a little less.
"Oh, thanks," he said slumming down a bit from embarrassment.
"How did you do this? I mean I know how, but the idea, and the spot, how did you find-" I was interrupted by the sound of George's voice.
"It was easy to find because this is the park we met at."
I looked around and remembered what park I had met him at. It was the one by the ocean. As I was taking in the scenery, I saw the food and was instantly hungry.
"Are you hungry?" George asked probably seeing the look at my face seeing our special meal. I nodded my head and he began to take out our meal.
I watched as he took out a fresh salad with this amazing looking dressing. Next he pulled a bunch of sandwiches out of the basket and looked up at me.
"I didn't know what kind you liked." he said with a shy smile before returning to unpacking. He pulled out plates, silverware, water, iced tea and some napkins.
"This is amazing George, you actually packed all my favorites."
"Oh really, I was hoping you would like it."
We started talking about various topics. That's when I saw the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen.
"Wow George look! Isn't it pretty? Man, I wish I had brought my camera-" just as I was finishing my sentence, George grabbed my camera case I must have left by the couch.
"I thought you might need it." He stated, I smiled as I quickly took the camera and snapped a couple of pictures.
"Thanks again, how did you know I'd need this?"
"I didn't, but I thought you might." I moved up the blanket and gave him a peck on the cheek as a thanks.
He blushed a light crimson before he started to hand me some of the delicious food. I then snapped a quick picture of the sky.
We started eating and talking when the conversation grew dead silent. I finished my sandwich then began to finish the remnants of my salad. After, I sat there for a minute then got up.
"Where are you going?" he asked in an almost worried tone.
"We are going for a walk."
He got up and grabbed my hand before walking. As we started walking, I walked right next to him and laid my head in the crease in his shoulder. After a few minutes, as I slipped off my heels to save my aching feet, I asked him "what kind of music do you, Paul, John and Ringo play?"
"Oh, just some rock and roll."
"Do you think your gonna make it big?"
"Yes, I know we can. We already have come so far."
I felt this burning question deep inside try to come out, but I didnt want to think of it.
"When you make it are you just going to forget about me?" I almost blurted out.
George looked shocked and confused. "No, wh- why?"
Why? I wanted to know if this would just become some big waste of emotions and love. Was that too harsh? Well maybe I should tell him so he knows how I feel.
"I want to make sure I'm not just wasting my love and heart on someone who would hurt me."
Before I knew what was going on, I felt George's soft and sweet lips gently pressed against mine. I could tell he felt bad. He lifted his lips and grinned.
"That reminds me." With that he yanked my hand and I ran behind him best I could barefoot.
