I continue my free-fall dreamlike state towards the ground. I outstretch my hands to touch the air around me, the coolness feels nice against my skin, and I open my eyes to see the glowing blue moon above me. Everything in this moment feels so peaceful and so calm that I can almost forget about the consequences awaiting me at the bottom of my fall.
Time is always moving so quickly around me, I want to appreciate moments like this more.
I just want more time to be free.
Alexander's sincere bright smile as he pulls me towards the carnival lights infiltrates my mind,
I want to be able to experience life for the first time.
I want to feel like I felt tonight again.
I suppose that's greedy of me, isn't it?
A high-pitched male's voice interrupts my blissful state, "Constance!" He screams, as I turn my head towards the ground to see a shorter male, sprinting across the ground creating an ice pathway beneath his steps as he runs.
H-how are you here?
W-why are you here?
I snap back into reality from recognizing Adam's presence sprinting determinately sprinting towards me to meet me before the ground does. My fear begins to grow as I recognize the true gravity of the situation, do I die if I hit the ground here?
I don't want to die,
Not when I just started living.
I stare wide-eyed as the timid boy charges fiercely across the ground before jumping forward outstretching his leg to slide across his ice path underneath me. He holds out his arms, and I close my eyes briefly out of fear, half-expecting myself to smack into the ground. However, that never happens as I feel my body land in the surprisingly strong arms of the short ice-user. I open my eyes to see were continuing to slide across his ice from the momentum, but he exhales a heavy sigh of relief, before continuing to pant due to overexertion from sprinting. Once we finally stop sliding, I push myself out of his arms and stand next to him as he lays on his back with his arms and legs sprawled out breathing heavily in an attempt to catch his breath.
"Oi, thank you for saving me, I really owe you one there kid."
Being unable to speak still, he simply raises a hand and flashes me a thumbs up to acknowledge my gratitude.
Another couple of individuals sprint up to me, and I look to notice them to be Dante and Dianne.
Dante lets out an exaggerated sigh, as he softly smiles towards me, "I'm so glad you're okay." He softly says.
I awkwardly rub the back of my neck from all the attention I'm receiving and murmur out, "Oi, of course I'm okay, why the bloody hell wouldn't I be?"
Dianne coughs, "You were just free-falling through the air without seemingly a care in the world, and we watched the tower before you get electrocuted so we feared you may have been on it."
"Whatever." I scoff before crossing my arms and looking off into the distance, "Besides why are you guys here anyways? And how did you even get here or even know where we were?"
Adam who has managed to push himself into a crouching position begins to explain through exasperated breaths, "D-dante and I were training, when suddenly he had like a meltdown or something, and he heard Alex's voice begging for help."
