Upon arriving at the bullet factory Eugene immediately became focused, being the first one to exit the van he headed to the door like it was nothing. Until Abraham came up behind him, grabbing his shoulder "Woah... Lemme clear it first man, just to be safe. "
Eugene just nodded not wanting to argue with the protective solider. Abraham pushed forward entering the building first, his rifle raised and ready ,Eugene waited outside until he heard the all clear. Motioning for the others to come in now he went inside. Flicking a switch and turning the overhead lights on. He smiled faintly at their progress, /his/ progress. He felt accomplished to have come up with such an operation. Walking over to his work station he adjusted his ponytail before beginning to work. The others going to their own tables and working.
Most of them worked in silence, having the occasional conversation with the person beside them. After about three hours of non stop work, Eugene looked at their products proudly. Seven full boxes of ammunition ready to go. "Good work everyone, we can break for now. Eat lunch, rest a bit. " with that they all went off their separate ways, remaining inside the building though. Turning around Eugene caught Abraham smirking at him "What? " he asked puzzled
"You look good being in charge, Im proud of you. " Abraham says in utter sincerity. This causing Eugene to grin like an idiot, shoving his hands in his pockets, glancing down at the ground "I am just contributing... " Abraham chuckled as he walked over, leaving his post at the small window. "You're doing a damn good job at it, I never would have thought such a fucking thing could happen. I mean shit we could attack them fucking bastards head on soon. "
Eugene just nodded slowly, it was the thought of his bullets being used to kill other humans made him uneasy. Yes Negan and the Savior's were terrible men whom did not deserve to live, but Eugene had never had to kill a man, so it was a troubling confliction.
After another two hours of work Eugene began loading the boxes of bullets into the box to take them back to Alexandria. Looking around some of the others had already went outside to the van. He picked up the heavy box and headed outside. Putting it in the back of the van, sighing. But then he heard a crunching of leaves behind him, spinning around quickly he saw nothing but the dense tree line that spanned for a few miles. Shaking his head he went to turn around now, but froze as a man emerged from the trees. Sporting a small handgun and machete.
"Well... Well... Well... Lookie here..lookie here.." he taunted, Eugene looked around frantically, Abraham was no where in sight, nor anyone else. Tensing up Eugene didn't even look at the Savior, the savior began approaching Eugene with a devious smirk, causing Eugene to back into the door of the van "Please... Don't... " he pleaded softly ,this only causing a manical laugh to emit from man's throat "Not happening.." he brought the pistol up slowly, aiming it at Eugenes chest "Any last words bud? "
Eugenes throat dried up, unable to say anything or shout for help. His heart pounding in his chest. His eyes wide from the fear and anxiety.
Seeing movements from the corner of his eye, the Savior was soon knocked off his feet, a large red haired figure tackling him to the ground. Causing the Savior to pop off one shot into the ground. Eugene just stood in Shock, watching as Abraham wrestled the man to thr ground. Each punching the other repeatedly until Abraham achieved the upper hand, grabbing the mans pistol he aimed it at his forehead "Rot in hell. " he mutter before pulling the trigger. Blood spurting onto Abrahams clothes and face.
Eugene felt his head spinning as he stared at Abraham, without any remorse or words Abraham had charged the man, wrestled with him then shot him dead. In all a matter of a minute and a half. He leaned back into the vans door for support, unable to say anything still. Abraham swiftly getting off the mans body and going to Eugene "Are you okay? " he went to touch Eugenes arm but he flinched away frowning. "I said are you okay? " Abraham questioned again, Eugene just shook his head quickly "No... I.. I mean... Yeah... Yeah I'm.. Okay.. " he looks away from the body to Abraham but continued to frown seeing the blood splatter "You... " he pointed sighing looking away again. Abraham nodded with a grunt, wiping his sleeve over his face "We should go. That shot might attract some dead fuckers or some more asshole's like him.. " he quickly went to the drivers seat leaving Eugene alone for a moment. "I guess he really did mean anything. " he thought to himself. He didn't feel all too well about it, seeing his one true friend kill a man right in front of him. With no signs of remorse.
