The ride back to Alexandria, well quiet was not the word for it,more like silent as the grave. Eugene sitting up front in the passenger seat as Abraham drove with his hands clenched tightly around the steering wheel. The whites of his knuckles shining against his tanned, bloodied knuckles now. Glancing away from Abraham so they would not have to speak just yet, Eugene turned his gaze out the window, watching the buildings blur by. Even the volunteers in the back seats were quiet. Sensing the tension between the two leaders for this trip. Abraham being the muscle but Eugene the brains.

Eugene didn't snap from his daze until he felt the van stop, looking out the front windsheild he saw they had finally made it back to Alexandria, and in one piece. Hopping out quickly before Abraham could speak, Eugene went to the back door, getting out the boxes of ammunition. Abraham swiftly coming to his side, his rifle slung over his shoulder "I can get it. " he said in his rough voice. Eugene shook his head once, as he began walking off "I've got it.. " he said flalty, afraid of even speaking to Abraham now. The scene replaying over and over in his mind. Granted Eugene had seen him kill before, but it was from yards away with his rifle. Not up close with his fists and a knife.

Quickly making his way to Olivia's house, Eugene knocked on her door waiting for her to let him in. Abraham always mocked him for his manners, but that's who Eugene was and always would be. Olivia soon opened the door with a friendly bright smile for Eugene "Well hey,  glad you guys made it back okay.  Come in." she stepped aside to allow Eugene in. Walking in he took the box to the kitchen, knowing she would count and distribute them later "It went... Well. " Eugene mumbled, not wanting to go into great detail about what transpires. "Are you sure?  You don't sound sure Eugene." Olivia had walked over to him with one of those looks. It seemed all women knew when men were trying to either lie or just be short with things. This always making Eugene uncomfortable due to his inexperience with women "I'm... Im sure...we are all fine.. " he nodded more so to reassure himself more than anything. Olivia pulled out a chair as she sat down in another, "Sit and tell me about it Eugene."

With that he sat down and told her, in detail of what happened. The way Abraham said he would do /anything/ to the way he proved it by beating a man near to death before stabbing him right in front of him. Olivia was shocked, at a loss for words. Glancing down at the table cloth she sighed "He's a soldier Eugene, fighting is in his blood I suppose... But you're right... He could have just as easily shot the man before getting to you two... " Eugene sighs hanging his head in shame "Sometimes... I am honestly afraid... Of him...seeing him today... Like that.. Made it worse... I don't know what to say to him now.. " he looked to her now hoping for more advice "Well, you can't go wrong with the truth, that it has upset you... But I wouldn't tell him the whole I'm afraid stuff.. "

Eugene made up his mind quickly once he was through speaking with Olivia, thanking her for her time and advice,  also getting Abrahams favorite meal to make things easier, he headed home. Shocked at first that Abraham had not hunted him down yet. He took a deep breath before walking into their home. "Abe?  Im back.. "
